A former girlfriend of Donald Trump blasted The New York Times on Monday for fabricating part of a front-page story about the Republican presidential candidate's history with women, calling the paper's retelling of her story 'false.'
The Saturday Times story described the billionaire's first meeting with the young model as 'a debasing face-to-face encounter between Mr. Trump and a young woman he hardly knew.'
'Donald J. Trump had barely met Rowanne Brewer Lane when he asked her to change out of her clothes,' the newspaper reported, describing a moment where he offered her a swimsuit to wear at a pool party.
Monday on 'Fox & Friends,' Lane said Trump 'never made me feel like I was being demeaned in any way. He never offended me in any way.'
'He was very gracious. I saw him around all types of people, around all types of women. He was very kind, thoughtful, generous. You know, he was a gentleman.'
Asked if Trump had ever mistreated women, she answered without hesitation: 'Not that I've ever seen. Absolutely without a doubt, no.'

The Daily Mail is a British newspaper. I wonder how many papers/ media in the USA will cover this slamming of the NYT. Leaving out “ not that I have seen” and “no” is the ultimate example of lying by taking out of context.

Despite the tabloid nature of the Daily Mail, which is typical of the British press, it’s the only place to go to find out what’s really happening in the United States. They print news that is suppressed here.
That’s right, “suppressed.” I never thought that word would apply to information in our Republic. I thought it was reserved for soulless totalitarian regimes like the old USSR, but the shoe fits.
