"The Natural," was my first thought. Can't stand Redford, but that was a great film. Ebbets Field Flannels (http://www.ebbets.com/) makes authentic wool/flannel retro baseball jerseys and caps, so you can find your favorite team's uniform items from your favorite era. As a hat tip (pun intended) to, "The Natural," you can even get an "authentic," 1939 New York Knights cap as well as home and away jerseys...

Agreed, that’s a great place. They also have stocked great hockey stuff as well, including California Seals jerseys (but they mention that the white skates with the green laces are not included, unfortunately).

I was also a huge X-Files fan back in the day. David Duchovny is, in real life, a big baseball fan, and the first episode for which he wrote the script was the sixth season’s, “The Unnatural,” which did a great job interweaving UFO and baseball lore from the post-war 1940s.

A league of their own. I always laugh at the part where Jimmy Dugan(Tom Hanks) throws at, and hits the kid in the head with the baseball glove.

eXistenZ

From IMDb:

Allegra Geller, the leading game designer in the world, is testing her new virtual reality game, eXistenZ with a focus group. As they begin, she is attacked by a fanatic assassin employing a bizarre organic gun. She flees with a young marketing trainee, Ted Pikul, who is suddenly assigned as her bodyguard. Unfortunately, her pod, an organic gaming device that contains the only copy of the eXistenZ game program, is damaged. To inspect it, she talks Ted into accepting a gameport in his own body so he can play the game with her. The events leading up to this, and the resulting game lead the pair on a strange adventure where reality and their actions are impossible to determine from either their own or the game's perspective.
