Well, the side effects of *pure* heroin are actually not as bad as many of these new drugs.
Some are even equally as addictive but the taxpayer pays for addicts’ pills for life so they don’t have to steal from you. Big pharma just takes it out of our paychecks...

I think Brutus's knife had a little more to do with it.
My guess is he mixed a cocktail of drugs for elipsy, hip pain and the flu with a chaser of alcohol with a dash of cocaine.
With his money and health problems I would have had an EMT and body man with me at all times. I would have even hired guys or girls that didn't ruin my look. (;>

I agree, both are absolutely crazy. I did hear one rumor that Prince received a flu shot shortly before symptoms. Any truth to that?

I'm sure it's not true, but will become true within days. And because of all those projects he completed but then refused to release, he'll become the next nexus of rumor, and like Tupac, will not really be dead from now on.
That said, those who know him best know he's been under the weather since the beginning of April and thus it may have been an untreated flu bug or something else.

The fruitbat from Minnesota had a brief ascendancy in the early 1980s -- the DJs around here were yapping nonstop about the passing this morning, but none of them had much to say about the most recent 30 or so years -- went crazy, went to war with his label, convinced they were exploiting him, and remained an unreconstructed racist vis a vis white folks. Oddly enough, he bought into the same paranoid nuttery (chemtrails, Illuminati, etc) found on most of the skinhead websites.

Influenza can sometimes cause acute reactions including difficulty breathing, and an hour is a huge amount of time in such a situation.
