The fruitbat from Minnesota had a brief ascendancy in the early 1980s -- the DJs around here were yapping nonstop about the passing this morning, but none of them had much to say about the most recent 30 or so years -- went crazy, went to war with his label, convinced they were exploiting him, and remained an unreconstructed racist vis a vis white folks.
