Three Simple Questions for Trump Supporters
American Thinker ^ | February 26, 2016 | Daren Jonescu

Posted on 02/28/2016 10:30:31 AM PST by Avoiding_Sulla

One summer's evening, a skinny, not-particularly athletic boy, perhaps eleven years old, scored the most glorious touchdown of his life.  This was not a real game.  My friend and I, along with his older brother Phil, were just tossing a ball around in the park.  But it was a memorable triumph because I scored my touchdown by outmaneuvering Phil with a head fake, and then outrunning him for half the length of the field.  It was almost too easy!

snip

...today, addressing myself to any Trump supporters who are not already lost to the irrational anger he feeds on -- please don't scream about "righteous anger," as if I don't know the difference between justice and wrath -- I pose three simple questions:

(1) Don't you get the strange feeling that this has all been suspiciously easy?

snip

(2) Don't you find it odd that Trump, who habitually says the harshest, crudest, vilest things he can think of about anyone he perceives as an opponent or threat, never substantively criticizes the key players in the establishment at all?

snip

(3) If you were Rove, McConnell, and the rest of the GOP elite, and you wanted to end the growing grassroots threat to your power and influence once and for all, how would you go about it?

Trump would eviscerate Hillary in a series of debates. He’ll leave her in a soggy mess on the floor.

I am looking forward to seeing it with great anticipation. Am sure other FReepers feel the same.

I have explained what is happening several times on FR. “Anyone But Trump” voters sweep my reasons aside and state that they are not real, not valid, childish, hateful, fascist, etc.

It is obvious they have no interest in what I have to say about the subject. I am sorry that they cannot deal with the reality that some people think differently than they do.

But if you are truly interested in the answers to your questions, do your own due diligence. The answers have been posted all over FR in the last 6 months; if you would just take the opportunity to search and read them with an open mind.

In the end, we are sovereign persons and I do not have to justify my political decisions to no man.

Cheers.

So your saying foreigners are inherently more honest then Americans? And you can’t find qualified American waitstaff in Palm Beach Florida? That must be news to the the thousands of Florida restaurants that employ American waiters and waitresses.

Oh, how could I forget?

In my last response to you I listed ways that G.W.Bush was Marius part 1, but I forgot to add his refusal to protect the borders.

One of the biggest complaints against Marius was his granting Roman citizenship to the Latins.

I find more than merely ironic that the GOPe/Dem alliance is actively seeking Latino citizens. The pattern that was used to eliminate national unity then and has been repeated by our own ruling class.

Did you even read the article? There is a disconnect between Trump’s rhetoric now and his history.

Ah yes. Another concerned writer asking if we’ve *really* considered our choice... Perhaps there’s just this *one* thing that we haven’t taken into account...

Trust me. This hasn’t been ‘easy’.

I’m voting for the Republican candidate who has the best chance of getting the votes of all of those middle-of-the-road people who don’t particularly WANT Hillary to win, and who will thus be more likely to vote for the candidate whom they don’t DESPISE for being Republican - candidates such as Cruz and Rubio, for whom they’d never vote in a million years.

That’s the candidate I want: the candidate who stands the best chance to win against Hillary. So far, I believe that that candidate is Donald Trump.

So where are the three questions?

1) No. Trump blasted through the typical politispeak and threw PC out the window. People are sick and tired of the usual “I’m sorry but I won’t apologize” type weasel speak from professional politicians. He spoke about America and Americans while many in the establishment have been actively promoting illegal immigrant superiority over mere American taxpayers.

2) It is not odd. He is a bully and a showman. He knows what the audience wants.

3) Retire. If McConnel or his cronies showed the least bit of back bone to stopping the Obamanation express the grass roots wouldn’t hate them so much.

(I am not a Trump supporter but certainly understand his appeal)

I was going to take a shot at answering those questions, but I cannot beat your response. I defer to the master.

Since Leaning Right seconded the motion, I will have to settle for thirding the motion, anton.

You are indeed the master. :)

There are thousands of restaurants from greasy spoons to classic French, Italian, Greek, etc. Everyone employs American workers. HOWEVER, there are CONDITIONS which PREVAIL in certain places at certain times and I KNOW what I am talking about, i.e. MAR A LAGO and Palm Beach.
What do you KNOW about what you have posted? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! You have taken a hit piece from a Scum Bag Democrat Mouthpiece and ATTEMPTED to use it for a hit on Trump.
Be brain dead if you prefer, but don’t think you can get away with your lies on Me!

More goof balls in the media afraid of Trump. Why so? One simple prominent answer because your bread is buttered on the other side: the crony capitalism way.

My opinion is that if you look at the political professional class in the GOP, they are pretty awful and not the sort any elite worth his/her salt wants working for them. I think also that they have picked sides and interfered a few times too many. They are in short a liability to all of us, elite and unwashed masses alike. My hope is that we can lose these nitwits and get back to common sense.

I don’t expect everything to go my way, but I do expect leadership to have the good sense to not usher in a new Dark Age!

If you believe Trump is a monster why are you happy with all the monsters who are now in government and for years have slowly, but surely been destroying America? And if Trump is not the candidate who will it be? Cruz, Rubio, Clinton? Real, God fearing, decent and honest individuals who suddenly will stop following tried and failed programs? You have got to be out of you mind. Or just plain stupid.
