I’d be surprised. Trump is a petty, vindictive man. He didn’t like a piece of journalism Selina Scott did about him, so he harassed her with a series of letters attacking her looks, morals, career etc. After that he continued harassing her by sending her press clippings of himself with things like “You’re a loser, Selina” written on them. He is not a normal human being.

Absolutely not. Cruz brings nothing to the table - no political constituency, no counsel Trump can't find elsewhere.

Trump will choose someone he likes and respects, which completely rules Cruz out; it will be someone competent and outside of politics. I wouldn't be surprised if it was someone from the military.

Trump will make a great decision based on who will help him win. If that is Cruz, he will pick Cruz. He is pursuing a win.

Trump did want Cruz im sure.. that’s why they both played so nice with each other for so long

And Trump has set up two thing that makes me think he still does...

on the birth thing..Trump.has really been telling Cruz...”Take care of it.. your a lawyer if your sure you are eligible then take care of it and get it all set up so nobody can questions it...cover your flanks... cover your vulnerabilities .. site the law”...

no smart business man is going to go into partnership with a guy that’s got legal liabilities or even legal questions that could hurt the success of the joint deal... trump to cruz...its cross your t’s and dot your i’s time if you do we can make a deal if you don’t I have to take you out

the other is Trump did pull his attack ads back for a while

If neither gets the necessary delegates to make the nomination, but together they have them (which is an outcome that could easily happen)...then it is VERY possible, even likely.

Trump puts Cruz on the ticket as VP and Cruz has his delegates vote for Trump. Trump becomes the nominee.

I personally believe, despite all the rancor, that this may have been the plan all along.

IOW, all the rancor may be these two very smart men playing the MSM and the GOPe all along.

If Trump wins the nomination, it would be his best move.

Trump would never choose Cruz. Ever.

Cruz wouldn’t pick Trump either so it’s a wash.

Why is it that people think a nominee has to select one of his campaign adversaries? A smart choice would be someone who would work well with the nominee. We are building an effective working group, not a panel of political celebrities.

Why would Cruz take it? He is relevant in the Senate and as President. He is irrelevant as VP.

Here is a great article about how Reagan picked Bush in 1980. From a guy who was right there with Reagan. I never realized how close Reagan was to picking Ford as his Veep.

I don’t buy it.

Why would he nominate the worst human being ever born? Cruz is nasty, no one likes nasty people. Cruz is unstable, and that’s not safe to have in leadership. Cruz isn’t a natural born citizen so he wouldn’t be eligible to succeed Trump if something happened. Cruz can’t get along with Congress, which is terrible for the President of the Senate. No one likes Cruz, which would make diplomacy hard. Cruz’s ethnicity and religion aren’t aligned in what Trump feels is the proper way, which may upset religious groups.

The only people less likely to be his VP are Jeb who’s stupid and weak, and Carson who’s as bad as a child molester. Hell Putin and Kim Jong Un are more likely choices since Trump’s had more praise for those two murderous dictators than he has ever had for these other candidates.

5 year old's could write the ads!

The first element of VP selection will be the possible need for delegates if Trump doesn't collect enough.

Another, but secondary element, might be the need to unify the party.

The third, after Trump has already collected all the delegates he needs and the party seems unified, is the need to select a Veep who can help Trump draw the most votes (i.e. independents and moderate dems) in the General Election.

If all the above needs are met, Trump will want to select a VP that can help him govern...and he has already said this will be a politician who knows how to navigate the system.

Yeah, it does sound crazy. And no, I’m not willing to conceded that Trump isn’t stupid.

My guess is Jesse Ventura. He has governing experience (which Trimp lacks) and he’s the only choice that will make Trump look sane in comparison.
