Am I proud to call Oregon my home? You're damn right I am. Do we have problems here? Of course we do, everywhere has problems. But the thing about Oregon is, if you've ever lived here you can probably agree Oregon is truly is a special place to live, and our problems are really very minimal compared to so many other places you could live.

I was born in Pendleton 1950. Raised in a little town called Weston just east of there.
Cold and wet. No thanks.
Live there, stay there, and shut up about it.
Liberalism affects many states and people of America. They continue to either enjoy the squalor and decline or they actively fight against the growth of it that will ultimately destroy society.
I've been to Portland, for example, and found a profusion of unwashed, unemployed young 'hippies' cluttering up the downtown section. It's only a matter of time until Portland resembles Detroit.
Absolutely breathtaking!
What prompted this posting? I just happened across the article & figured others would enjoy some beautiful photography. As for the politics, I’m a volunteer with the Oregon Citizens Lobby, as well as the local GOP, & am doing what I can to fight the Leftists. It’s depressing, & we’re thinking about moving. But this is still a lovely state.
“Breathtaking” perhaps. But also seriously infested with subhuman, nitwit, pinhead LIBs.
Beautiful pictures. So I was passing through in early 1980. Found out you could not pump your own gas out of fear you would put leaded gas in your unleaded tank. Told me everything I needed to know about Oregon. Have never been back. It is off my beaten path.
We love our “piece of paradise” in Southern Oregon. Plenty to do outdoors, and no libs in sight.
Looks a lot like Northern California to me.
About a third of the state is high dessert. It does get cold in the winter, but it’s generally hot and dry.
Beautiful pictures, beautiful state. The only part of Oregon I have seen is right along the Columbia River.
I was a little surprised to see a picture of Texas’s Alamo above your photos. That is not the way the area around the Alamo looks, that trash pile is alarming.
That’s desert, not dessert.
Desert dessert? :-p
+1
Have spent half my life off and on in Oregon (now here)....2 hours from mountains, 2 hours from beach, 2 hours from desert...BUT, politically it’s not a nice place.
I enjoyed it and thank you for posting. Ignore the old bats who loathe any state that has one liberal in it - I should know, I’m a NYer. Both our states are very beautiful but from the look of it, you’ve got me beat!!
And yes, I meant to say Northwest instead of Southwest! That might be the airline I take to get out there though.
That nice but I left the communist state.
Good luck.
After Klamath.
Just got worse as you will see.
Someone with the moniker of Sam Adams drinking coffee?! Check out our microbrews. Lots of excellent ones. ;-)
