This is Merlin the cat modeling the dragon haircut he got courtesy of the Main Lion Cat Grooming Salon in Bumf*ck Paoli, Pennsylvania (it's behind the Starbucks on Plank Ave). I'm not sure how much the dragon cut costs, but their lion cuts go for $65, so probably somewhere around there. That might sound expensive, but if you live in Paoli, Pennsylvania, I imagine there's literally nothing else to spend your money on except saving up to move you and your cat the hell out of there.
The payback that cat is planning is going to be epic.
Somehow, I don’t think either of my two longhaired cats would see anything attractive about that or any similar clip-and the short haired one got a clip, she’d just look like one of those sphinx cats. I think I’ll keep my cats’ hair the way nature made it...

used to hit the wall when old cat walked by and he’d jump like a cartoon character with all fours leaving the floor at once.

That’s practically cat abuse. Poor kitty is gonna have a very hard time staying warm for a while.
There's the difference, do this to a dog and they will make you feel guilty, do this to a cat and it will puke in your shoes, pee on your bed and defecate on your carpet. And you will count yourself lucky if that's all the cat does.
I have dogs and cats and I would much prefer the dog was upset at me, because I know he'll forgive me as soon as I give him a treat, a cat will hold a grudge for a long, long time.

Personally, I think this is cruel, but you *do* need big brass ones to pull it off.
