Donald Trump Goes Nuclear: Let's Face It, Ted Cruz 'Is a Bit of a Maniac'
PJ Media ^ | 12-13-2015 | Michael van der Galien

Posted on 12/13/2015 7:33:18 AM PST by Michael van der Galien

In what's more evidence that Donald Trump is becoming completely unhinged, he is now stooping so low as to label Tea Party favorite Ted Cruz "a bit of a maniac":

"I don’t think he’s qualified to be president… I don’t think he has the right temperament. I don’t think he’s got the right judgment… You look at the way he’s dealt with the Senate, where he goes in there like a — you know, frankly like a little bit of a maniac. You’re never going to get things done that way."

He added:

"Look, I built a phenomenal business. I’m worth many, many billions of dollars. I have some of the greatest assets anywhere in the world. You can’t walk into the Senate, and scream, and call people liars, and not be able to cajole and get along with people. He’ll never get anything done. And that’s the problem with Ted."

It's rather fascinating that this is coming from the most bombastic and maniacal presidential candidate in history. Almost every single one of his proposals are downright outlandish, and he calls everyone who dares disagree with him "a loser" and worse. See how he smeared Dr. Ben Carson by calling him "pathological."

What's more, Trump's latest jabs at Cruz prove that he has no idea what real conservatives want. Cruz promised them to stand up for their values in Washington D.C., even if the establishment would hate him for it. That's exactly what he's done, and it's one of the main reasons that he's now so popular among Evangelicals, very conservative voters, and those who identify themselves with the Party.

If I was Cruz, I'd politely ask The Donald to attack me even more. After all, this will only end up helping, rather than hurting him.

“The other candidates went down in the polls because they have real flaws. Cruz doesn’t”.

I’m telling you right now the GOP will never nominate someone that says a raped woman should be made to have the rapist’s baby. I believe in no abortion for any reason, but I’m not running for president. If Cruz was to get the nomination, which I believe he can’t because the establishment hates him as much as Trump, he would have to sell-out on his abortion stance and start saying he believes in abortion in rape, incest and life of the mother. No republican has ever ran and won that was 100% pro-life and that includes Ronald Reagan. Paul Ryan sold his soul to the devil and said he was for abortion exceptions the minute liberal Romney picked him four years ago. Before he was selected he was 100% against any type of abortion.

“So, you admit that the gasbag plays politics.”

Trump was probably laughing to himself, because Cruz’s colleagues have already put that out about him, that was not original from Trump. If he wanted to get nasty with Cruz, all he has to do is confront him with his vote for the Corker bill. Cruz goes about the country condemning the bill that he voted for. Cruz even says he will tear the bill up, the bill he voted for. That is why Cruz is probably holding his fire.

Thad Cochran-put the senile old coot out of our misery! and the Barbour Machine, the whole dirty lot of them, who bribed ‘rat voters in a run-off to steal an election from the conservative Chris McDaniel. That’s my Number 1 and Number ! targets, because I hold a deep grudge against them. We could have had one more truly conservative senator, the Barbour Machine didn’t even try to hide their dirty tricks in their hubris and self-entitlement, and they made my state-otherwise a deeply conservative state-look really, really bad as a conservative bulwark.

Er, what? You’re listing a bunch of Obama policies and trying to blame Cruz for them?

You lost me there...

“I’ve seen Cruz say on public interviews that Trump won’t be the nominee and that he would get support from former Trump supporters. That’s nothing new. What he said on that tape was no different than what he’s said in public before.”

Well, no, that is NOT all what he said. He questioned Trump’s and Carson’s judgment with the “trigger”.

He’s not disagreeing with his policies. That’s right. That’s a good point

“Look, I don’t give a crap how many lies and BS you have to come up with in order to justify supporting your liberal boyfriend, but you ought to try selling his hope & change garbage to someone who’s susceptible.”

Point out the lies. NOW.

He is really gonna gain votes with his continued personal trashing instead of sticking to facts.

Yep. It doesn't matter if he has 35% of the vote (or whatever), every time he opens his mouth he alienates those who aren't committed to him. Here's a recent national poll. Scroll down for net favorability. Negative: 35 - 57 percent for Trump.

I think you are right.
Trump’s comments today have nothing to do with what Cruz said in private...
It has to do with the last couple of Iowa polls.

Cruz has always opposed a path to citizenship and his plan calls for enforcing current deportation laws. He is also now sponsoring a bill with Sen Sessions to reform the H1B system. So please take your misinformation elsewhere.

-— I don t think he s qualified to be president. I don t think he has the right temperament. -—

That s funny, but what s truly amazing is that Trump doesn t see the irony.

Please...no conservative cares about “getting even.” We have principles. We aren’t petty. The liberals have put in a bunch of bad policy and we must reverse it. That’s acting on principle. It has nothing to do with “school yard politics.” Please cite an example of what liberal policy we would reverse that would be unprincipled “getting even.”

Yes Trump did all those things.

He supported the elections of Hillary, Pelosi, Reid, and general democrats from 2001 to 2010.

He is very responsible for all of those things !

Same here. I know where Cruz stands on baby murder and sodomite mirage, and I haven’t stopped being a social conservative.

Strategy sessions with your supporters is not stabbing anyone in the back. I am sure that Trump has strategy sessions with his supporters too. An attack is made publicly to try and damage your opponent. Cruz’s statement was not made publicly, instead it was made privately to his own supporters so it was not intended to damage anyone.

Off subject But hey name one GOP figure. Certainly not any of the bushes, whom Reagan put on the map

Recent converts are what we need to fix America.

Not in the Oval Office. It's gonna take someone with strong, life long conservative values to fix the mess 0bama and company have made, with the help of a good many RINO's, I might add.

Trump talks a good game but I don't think he has the fire in the gut commitment to conservatism and the Constitution that Cruz has.

Cruz will make a fine president; one that will put decorum and strong leadership back in the Oval Office.

Yes, Ted has SEEN THE LIGHT! A little bit late! Just because he’s too dishonest to call legalizing all aliens amnesty doesn’t change the fact that is amnesty.

CRUZ.....Expand legal immigration - double it! 500% increase on H1B Visas. LEGAL status for all illegals
HIS words, short and sweet, in the first minute!

Why is it so hard? Why dont you just say yes or no? Kelly asked
