Terrified neighbours phoned the police after hearing a woman screaming hysterically and a man yelling: “I’m going to kill you”.

But when officers arrived at the address they discovered the flat's sole occupant had been trying to catch a SPIDER .

The shamefaced man admitted he had been shouting death threats at the arachnid and had been the person behind the high pitched screaming.

According to New South Wales police in Australia, they received multiple calls about the sound of crashing furniture and a man screaming: “I’m going to kill you, you're dead! Die Die!!”.

Spiders generally won’t hurt you unless you start it.
Out here in the boonies; we have lots of snakes. Did
have more rattlers; but husband has dispatched a lot of
them. The WILL rattle a warning; but copperheads are
sneaky. One night, Dub kept barking at something.
When I first looked out back, it looked like a little
bunny rabbit lying on the porch. When I put the flashlight
on it; it was a copperhead all coiled up. Husband
whacked it. I moved the dog food dish off that porch.

“They value their lives, too.” - Yes. Like all living
things; it’s really all anyone has. - I don’t kill
anything.

NY Boy - what do you think of water bugs? Those are the things that send me screaming into the night.

I use Hedge Apples to deter spiders. I know scientists dispute any effect but I swear they work for me. I order them off Amazon.

Also, I have not seen one of those huge, beautiful Garden Spiders in decades.

Are you in Northern California? The late 70's drought seemed to render them extinct - along with a while lot of other species like Jerusalem crickets that I used to see all the time when I was growing up in Marin County.

I'm sure the Midwest still has trillions of them, though. :)

> That’s pretty hillarious. That could be me, but at least I’m actually a girl!

I'm sure I've screamed "Die! Die!" at a few times at those 8 legged buggers running after them with a house shoe to smash them on the kitchen tile a few times. I'd almost rather pickup a snake than a tarantula or large 8 legger any day. I'm arachna-racist....: )

I was minding my own business and got “tagged” on the back of my leg by a brown recluse a few years ago. I’ll leave most of them alone but if it looks like a brown recluse or a black widow it’s gonna die.

Same goes for red wasps.

i guess if you're going to create an insect to catch another insect that eats $hit you might as well make it terrifying...: )

That’s a terrifying pic. The only thing worse than a spider is a flying spider!

Then I spray it with enough Raid to kill Mothra and step back as it flails and finally falls.

So mean! How could you! Unless its a black widow or a brown recluse, spiders are good to have around the house and will kill the bad bugs like flies and roaches. And wolf spiders and jumping spiders are actually really really cute. I like to hold them sometimes. And I'm a girl.

Some of them habitually fall into the sink and I pick them out, dry them off and put them back on the windowsill.

Aw, finally someone who knows how to treat the spiders right.
