Cancer Loves Sugar CBS 60 Minutes April 2012

Sobering report. If you have cancer, you should avoid sugar of any kind. If you don't want cancer, I suggest that you limit your sugar intake. Avoid "high fructose corn syrup", and processed sugars. If you want to lose weight, avoid things that quickly become sugar (white breads, potato, rice, alcohol, etc). Reducing these things has a major impact on your liver and pancreas. Eat lots of green things!

Hey bro. Backtrack, and tell John this. It’s a quick solve of the quote thing, also prevents a link or img-inject hack.

The FedGov didn’t put me through Defensive Programming and Threat Modeling courses for nuttin’. :)

Buckeye. Tell ‘im. :)

Anyone who follows the news and medical reports on a regular basis becomes a crank and a faddist. It’s why that crap needs to stop.

Everything in moderation: sugar, wheat, steak, coffee, eggs are all wonderful gifts from God. Just don’t overdo it. Exercise? Meh.

On the topic of security, make sure to encrypt between the app and the db, especially for private information.

One penetrate through the firewall, and yer done.

Target had state of art firewalls, hard and soft.

They installed smart HVAC machines. The developers didn’t lock the HVAC machines down right. The hackers got behind the firewall with those machines, then sniffed the traffic — the unencrypted DB to App traffic! 9 million credit cards later, the problem was discovered.

Its worth reading all of it.

His salient point is that your overall hazard level is like a barrel. When the barrel is almost empty, you are healthy, and as you keep on adding crap to the barrel, eventually it becomes full, and then the trouble starts.

Reduce what is in your barrel, and you will become healthier.

I posted to WhiskeyX my support so he didn’t get discouraged enough to quit posting these articles.

I wasn’t calling anyone ignorant for wanting a good life. I was referring to those who post opinions without even a hint of actually reading this article or anything else relevant to the subject. Ignorance is lack of information, nothing more. If I were to be uncivil, I would have used the word stupid. I didn’t.

I have been proudly posting without reading the article since 1999.

I know playing buzzword bingo with a comeback makes you feel smart, but when you are eating rocks and twigs in some vain effort to “be healthy”, yet are not, well, that isn’t smart. These fad diets come and go as feeble minded people adopt them, thinking they’ve outsmarted death yet again.

Try eating a healthy and balanced diet without being a glutton and you’ll find your health is restored just fine.

Making excuses like, “Gosh, I only ate half a pie but usually eat the whole thing so I must be getting healthy”, doesn’t cut it. Eating too much is eating too much, no matter how much you used to eat. Fat is fat, no justifications can change that.

Cutting out essential foods doesn’t cut it. Starving your body of essential foods is ignorance and death waiting to happen sooner.

You never hear of a Navy SEAL in at BUD/S claiming, “Gosh, instructor, I can’t eat this garbage the Navy is serving, I must treat my body like a temple and only eat rocks and twigs.” Hell, they eat anything they can shove in.

Had a cousin go on a tofu diet to ‘cure’ cancer- Her cancer was cured, but she had treatments at the same time- claimed the Tofu was what did it for her- She ate tofu for years after that- tofu this, tofu that-

Contrary to popular belief, tofu is not healthy. Soy, unless fermented, should be avoided. Feel better?

“No more baked potatoes...even with no toppings?”

Not until it is safe to do so again on a special occasion.

You would have liked the restaurant I worked at when young. Giant stoneware platter, steaks large enough to nearly cover it, a giant baked potato split and filled with cheese butter from a pastry bag topped with paprika, a large wooden bowl of green salad, a large wooden bowl of red slaw, basket of cheese bread heavily coated in cheese butter under the broiler of a salamander, peanuts in the shell, 16 fl oz. Pabst Blue Ribbon beer, 16 fl oz. Margaritas, 16 fl. oz strawberry Daiquiris, Grand piano for entertainment.
