Bill Kristol thinks we should deploy ground troops to Syria to fight ISIS and topple Assad.

Oh what could possibly go wrong with Russian troops already deployed and fighting there. Besides Russia was invited by Assad of Syria to protect him?

I guess Billy wants to get in a nuclear war with Russia? He must have a bunker he can run into?

We are going to go back to Iraq to gain the ground Obama handed over to ISIS.

We should create a Safe Zone inside Syria with Russia’s help. Leave Assad in power. Repatriate all the Muslims in Western Europe and in the U.S.

For the record too. If we were deploying ground troops there. We would need more than that.

I have heard the actual number of troops would be from anywhere between as low as 150k up to a max of 450k U.S. troops. That would be for the foreseeable future too. Well that is if we did not get into a nuclear conflict with Russia.

I would require the establishment or capture of a Mediterranean port which would then require protection of one or more air bases and several perimeter ground bases. From there, it would require the constant engagement of ISIS with the intent to DESTROY them. Not to capture or contain. Decimation of their forces and any and all that support them. Collateral damage be damned.

This is NOT supported by left who will be screaming about how we are cowardly, cruel, unfair. etc. So the first battle will be for the will of the American people.

1. He was one of the people urging us to go into Iraq in 2003. At that time he predicted the war would last only 2 months.

2. It is one of the goals of ISIS to entice the western countries into a final battle near Dabiq, Syria. For some reason they feel ready for this right now, but should we just play into their scenario?

The Russians have distanced themselves from Assad, the great Assad who let Jihadis plan attacks on US forces from Syria, allowed their camps in Syria, who had to hand over Saddam’s brother to Allied forces, who let’s missiles and weapons be funneled to Israel’s enemies through Syria, Assad, the ally of Iran and Soleimani. Assad’s 12% minority rule days are numbered.

If there are many reasons for the rise of ISIS, Assad’s the main one and blame to his sponsors in Moscow too.

50,000 troops on the ground in a country fighting a civil war, where we are against the government but would not be fighting the government? That is not something I would have thought of.

Assad: Cooperated with Jihadis to launch attacks on US troops in Iraq, allow them to have camps in Syria, harbored Saddam Hussein’s brother who he eventually gave up to the Allies, possibly receive Saddam’s WMDs, father cooperated and helped bomb marines in the Beirut Barracks Massacre, you mean that Assad? And this is all historic fact, reported years ago, nothing made up through mickey mouse sources like RT, if Assad protects Christians, you coulda fooled me. The Bush admin considered expanding the war into Syria, again, reported over 10 years ago. That Assad? Huh?

There will be war there as long as 12% minority rule is there and from a broad spectrum, the biggest killer there is the Regime.

The problem is the US STILL wants to topple Assad! We have WW3 going on, we have the results of regime change all over the ME and in Ukraine and Afghanistan, and the elitist globalist puppetmasters are still playing their selfish political gains.

Mr. Kristol would have his 50,000 troops if they weren't being used as Saudi/global agenda Storm Troopers!

If Kristol wants boots on the ground in Syria, he’d best get going on his boot sizing and equipment requisitions. I am not prepared to sacrifice more American lives on some handcuffing expedition to a muslim s**thole. Isn’t this what we have tactical nukes for??

If we do that without the invitation of Assad, then we are invaders.

The Russians have a Naval Base and a Forward Operating Base with an airfield there. On top of that they are building an Army base.

Doing what you are talking about would have U.S. forces engaged with Syrian and Russian forces.

didn’t ask what his father did.

he still looks like a boy scout compared to ISIS. How’re the Christians doing without him in control. How is the country doing without him in control.

petty dictator compared to horrific jihadis who behead children by the hundreds, enslaved women and rape them by the thousands?

easy choice
