Anyhow, what stopped the attack was U.S. Forces saying they would not be Al-Qaeda’s Air Force. This is after they lost brothers and sisters in Afghanistan and Iraq. Plus after September 11th, 2001 attacks.

If you wish to wage a serious war on fundamental (radical) Islam when you have to attack it at it's source, Saudi Arabia and the other gulf oligarchies. Conquered stated are occupied until they have been domesticated, educated, civilized, and capable of functioning as a constitutional republic. All resources of an occupied state belong to the occupiers. Forcibly resisting occupation is a capital offense, military tribunals adjudicate criminal offenses, executions are held in public.
