Anger as Clemson football coach is cut off by ESPN as he began thanking 'the good Lord' during post-game interview [ Full title ].

Clemson head football coach Dabo Swinney was accidentally cut off during his post-game interview with ESPN as he was thanking 'the good Lord'.

Following the Clemson Tigers 24-22 win against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Swinney was giving an emotional speech when the cameras suddenly cut to SportsCenter hosts Jay Harris and Kevin Connors, who were unaware as they worked on their iPads, before cameras cut back to Swinney.

ESPN senior director of public relations, Keri Potts, wrote on Twitter shortly after the incident saying the accident happened as a result of an 'error in TV transmission,'

...

Some users hit out at ESPN on social media suggesting it cut off the message because Swinney mentioned God.

One Twitter user wrote: 'you people suck at lying, have you not realized that. You broadcast all night and then have a blurb during a God moment....BS.'

Another wrote: 'Knowing how PC correct ESPN has become, I can see it being done on purpose. And of course they would lie.

If you are paying for ESPN, you are paying for Marxist thugs to destroy your freedom.

The ‘error’ is in the part of the viewer paying for /cable/dish/ESPN to crap all over their beliefs daily.

Stop funding your problems folks. Or don’t complain.

So now the sports networks are participating in the drive to eliminate Christianity from the country.

What do you expect from a network that gave an award to a man who dresses like a woman but still has his package..they gave HIM an award instead of someone truly brave like Lauren Hill, or a marine who lost his limbs in Afghanistan, instead they give an award to a freak

Also home of Maloy,Father of a convicted felon and the documented Viet-Nam liar Blumenthal, both on MSNBC all week end demonizing the 2nd Amendment

Whether or not this was intentional on the part of ESPN, you are right that Coach Swinney is not of the Gregg Popovich school of question-answering.

ESPN is 80% owned by Disney and 20% by Hearst Corporation. It seems that over the past few years ESPN has increasingly transitioned from reporting sporting events to social commentary supporting progressive politics.
