This is a general outline to how you would deport 20-30 million illegal aliens.
Phase 1: Voluntary Paid deportation, If you turn yourself in for free deportation the US government will pay for their plane/bus/boat ticket back to the country of their origin. In exchange for paying for the person’s fare home you take their finger prints and bio-metric data and picture, etc. You put it in a database and they have to wait 10 years and pay a $5,000 fee before they can legally apply to come into this country again, all future travel visas are denied as well in this time period. (1st year)
Phase 2: Start by going after people here on expired Visas. Start with the northern states and work your way Downward to the southern states, by the time you get to the southern most states good money will be on a lot of these illegals already being gone. You have to start with the states that have the least density of illegals (more than likely the northern states). You take their finger prints and bio-metric data and picture, etc. You put their fingerprints and pictures in a database and they have to wait 20 years and pay a $10,000 fee before they can legally apply to come into this country again, all future travel visas are denied as well in this time period. (1st year - 2nd year )
Phase 3: Finish off the Remnants that are here illegally who didn’t self deport in Phase 1, Or were taken care of in Phase 2. Start again in the northern states and work your way down. You put their fingerprints and pictures in a database and they have a lifetime ban on ever becoming a legal immigrant, all future travel visas are denied permanently as well. (2nd year - 4rd year )
Phase 4: Make sure we Finish the Damned wall. (1st year - 4th year)
Phase 5: Maintain immigration enforcement for those who are still sneaking in. Anyone caught here illegal is immediately deported, You put their fingerprints and pictures in a database and they have a lifetime ban on ever becoming a legal immigrant, all future travel visas are denied permanently as well. (4th year onwards)
Basically you self-deport them by letting them know they will be deported.
Granted some details would be negotiable, but you don't even have to "round them all up" at once, but you take a phased approach and rely on people leaving and making it easy for them to leave it will expedite things.

Dry up employment by heavy daily fines on employers of illegals.
You can not round up 20 million illegals. So you have to make it worthwhile for them to self-deport.
First of all, absolutely cut-off all government aid to illegals. That will be extremely difficult in states like California. The bleeding hearts and Latin racist organizations will freak out. With our present debt-based, fiat money financial system, government will simply be expected to print more money to pay for these leftist projects.
That reduces the top incentive - no medicaid, no foodstamps, no education, no hospital visits, no sanctuary cities (must be penalized also)
After that, then actively police employers. Take down some employers in highly public show-cases, with massive fines to owners. Most businesses will then begin to self-regulate.
Removing the government aid and incentives though will be EXTREMELY difficult and politically fraught. After all, its a key part of the business model of the Democrat Party. Think of how the left reacted to Bush in 2006 - and then triple the media and political pressure.
Offer up a bounty to turn ‘em in and the good old American entrepreneurial spirit will take care of the problem :)

Offer bounties on illegals and those who hire them. Deportation will be much faster and cheaper. No company would dare hire them knowing their legal employees have an incentive to turn them in.

Phase 2:
Phase 0 should be to ignore all evil leftist Federal judges that try to rule from the bench and immediately issue an injunction.
All the President should say is the branches are equal, I am following the law, and I will not allow a judge to ignore the law.

Do those things and illegal aliens will deport themselves and pay for the trip.
Audit businesses for them having form I-9 and a copy of their photo ID and Social Security card as currently the law.
Arrest the owners of any business that doesn't comply and give them a heavy fine for a first offense and mandatory prison for a second offense.

You need to make being in the country illegally a federal felony. After date X it is a felony and you can never enter the USA again for any reason if you are caught. Secondly if you are caught here illegally a second time it must be a capital crime

Give states, counties, and individuals a sizable percentage of those fines when they turn in these companies.
Make it a felony to give any private assistance and illegal to provide taxpayer benefits to any illegal, with massive financially bankrupting fines and imprisonment to all who do. Withdraw any sovereign immunity from lawsuits, personal fines, and imprisonment for any government officials who aid in providing sanctuary cities.
Fully fund the E-Verify system with felony and massive fine penalties for attempting to defraud it.
The forced expulsion thru police state tactics simply gives an already over grown and abusive bureaucracy even more power to abuse, remember the 'Patriot Act' how`s that worked out under Obozo? This way you harness personal incentive and fear to force self deportation without risking midnight raids that will invariably go wrong.

I think we have no idea how bad it will be. With the MSM as accomplices, we will see never ending stories about the evil Republicans starving people, and even worse will be the stories about the ones not on assistance, who have worked, raised kids, played by the rules except for being here illegally.
Also as one poster advocated for “civic forfeiture” a few posts ago, can you imagine the debacle of seizing legal property, removing screaming kids from houses, etc.

I watched a woman yesterday sit in a Congressional hearing and brag about making $580,000 a year to oversee an organization that carried out the murder of a live-born child, on film, so that it’s face could be cut open, and it’s brain harvested for profit.
The MSM, and Libs are calling her brave, and courageous, and PP still has a 60% approval number in the last poll I saw.
Like I said, I’ll be happy if it happens as some have predicted, but I’ll just be happy if Putin, and Xi don’t start marching across Europe, and Asia in the next year, and we don’t have an ISIS (or Iranian backed) terrorist group smuggle a few suitcase Nukes into the country in the next year.
