Man starts gas station blaze trying to kill spider with lighter

CENTER LINE, Mich. - A man tried to kill a spider at a gas station using a lighter causing a dangerous fire.

Using a lighter to kill the bug, he started a blaze that quickly engulfed the gas pump.

Funnel spiders all look pretty much the same.

One my baby boa’s fake cave hides got broken and I put it out on the back porch, intending to toss it out.

I just noticed that some really trippy, big spider is living inside of it, now.

So, I guess the cave stays.

The only animal that scares me is the chimpanzee, although there are quite a few that I treat with rational respect.

It only sounds stupid and excessive because there’s no indication in the report as to how big the spider was.

Using the benefit of hindsight, it probably wasn’t a good idea to light a flame while pumping gas.

So I just ran out to get a pic of it for you but we had a pounding rain all day and I *hope* it's hanging up inside the cave, where it's dry, right now.

Have to wait and see if it comes back when the web dries out.

Tried to look with a flashlight but I don't want to destroy its home by moving the cave so I couldn't see it. :-|
