Criticism of Glenn Beck here reminds me.

Reading the, maybe justified, criticism of Glenn Beck here, I'm reminded of the quote, "A prophet hath not honor in his own country."

Whining, mewling, delusions of Messianic grandeur Glenn Beck being compared to a Prophet (and using a verse that Christ says of Himself!) by one of his “I’m not defending him but I’m defending him” fans?

Who would have saw that coming?

That quote about prophets only applies to those who fit within a Biblical context. Beck doesn’t fit into that category. At all.

Beck is a crazy mormon with mental issues. Go hand out teddy bears to illegals Glenn, and go away. To think I used to listen to the guy years ago, WTF was I thinking.

I remember when Glenn Beck was a rock jock on the radio.

I don’t buy his schtick.

I read that Mormons are all worked up by tonight’s blood moon.

Once upon a time, Glenn Beck was funny and insightful. Now he isn’t. He’s just sad.

Excuse me for a moment, but I think I am about to cry, change my religion, and discover I have numerous, never-before-described, diseases and conditions.

After that, I will need to rant against the evil Sarah Palin.

Remember when he said he was going to expose the FEMA camps on a certain date for weeks on end, and when the date came, he just sort of mumbled "There are no camps." As if his breathless broadcasting for the prior weeks never happened.

Some prophet.

Glenn Beck jumped the shark when he went all kumbaya with Muslims.

His shtick used to provoke lots of yuks & even now his sidekicks are far funnier when he’s not on & they take over.

GB has gone all serious, preachy, weepy, & apocalyptic. That’s not entertaining & his show is hemorrhaging listeners who don’t care to be lectured.

We all have bad days. We all have bad moments. We all have moments of frustration and anger....Beck just seems to have more than his share. But a prophet? Beck? I don’t think so.

Beck is an odd character. He has been all over the spectrum of late and tends to get into tin-foil hat theories at times.

I don’t dislike him, but his weakness is his inability to be consistent with his thinking.

I do not need to read a book to warm my heart. My cat greeting me when i enter the driveway...and happy that I am home heartwarming. A hug that i get from daughter for no reason ...heartwarming. A brilliant day and looking at this amazing place we live in...warms the heart...Glenn Beck is an asshole ...especially when he lowers his voice and does the pretend humble routine or weeps like a faggot disheartening...he was good when he would point out constitutional infractions and rule of law with excitement and FACT...since he and his hyenas are a pathetic group selling window blinds...FK him.

I remember and old movie I saw long, long ago. A man rises to fame and fortune with his good words and then crashes into shame.

I love Glenn. He’s been trashed again and again but he’s still here. There are those even on Free Republic that have the mob mentality and the hatred for the mention of God that cloud all of the good Glenn does.
Glen is a Capitalist.
He has the same right as anyone to write books, sell podcasts, and products to further enrich his life. The more money he has, the more he can get the message out.
I must admit, when I found him he was poor and insignificant. That made him more “equal” with the common man, but now that he’s rich and famous, people hate him.
I know he reads Free Republic, so Glenn, if you read this, get rid of Stu and Pat. Even though they are funny, they’re a distraction.

Glenn Beck has described himself as a sober drunk.

I identify with that.

I think he has done some good things over the years.

He stood tall for Terri Schiavo way before the rest of the world knew about her case.

I think he wrote some good books.

Beck has decscribed Jon Huntsman Sr. has his ‘mentor’ and I see the Huntsman family as ‘go along, get along’ types, not committed to conservative issues with any passion.

Beck talks up how good different GOP candidates are. Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Carly Fiorina, Marco Rubio etc. etc. etc.

Heck, Mark Levin said he might have two or three names to ‘endorse’ recently.

When you support more than one candidate for president in the GOP contest, you help split the vote for Jeb Bush.

From the moment I first heard him on the radio the impression I got from him was ‘used car salesman.’ Don’t know why, but that’s the impression I got and it never went away.
