Survivor: Cambodia — Second Chance is the 31st season of Survivor (for those unfamiliar with the show, there are two seasons each year). It begins Wednesday, September 23, 2015 on CBS at 8/7c.
I'm sorry for the late ping. I've been waiting - in vain - for CBS to finish updating the Survivor page. According to my DVR setting, the season premier is going to be a 90 minute episode.
The producers selected 32 previous cast members - 16 women and 16 men. The selection criteria were that (1) they have played before only once, and (2) have never won. From this list, fans voted for their 10 favorite women and 10 favorite men. The finalists were announced on the Survivor finale on Wedneday, May 20, 2015.
Survivor exclusive: Immunity idols to be hidden at challenges this season
The players range in age from 22 to 55. Seven are from California, with four from Southern California. Two each are from New York and North Carolina. One each are from Arizona, Connecticut, Illinois, Oregon, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Missouri, Texas, and Washington (state).

Nice to see the way life flipped for Sherin and Spencer.
Sherin must have missed all those times Boston Rob played. He never would have acted the way Sherin did and then let somebody from the other side sit and talk with them in the dark for a couple of hours.

This must be the “keep ‘em guessing” season. No immediate TC last night after the challenge, like last week. Next week they do the shuffle. The other team, well, basically everyone except blonde Kelly, doesn’t know about the change in HII. I don’t even think she realizes there was probably another HII last night. Jeff V. cracks me up.
Yeah, I dunno...filming a show called Survivor in Cambodia seems a little inappropriate. But, then, No Info Americans don’t know any history so the irony will be lost on them.
Varner is already the highlight of the season. Yep, as suspected, all his slow on the up tick was strategy. Hope he stays around a while but they’ll boot him the second they figure out he’s running the show.
Bub-bye, Shirin! Woo hoo! The most deserving first two boots ever!
What’s with the 3 teams next week? Smells like Mark is out to save Spencer or wants Varner and Abi out. Why can’t he keep it at two until the merge?

I’ve heard that the contestants, because they are all part of the Survivor clan, already knew each other when they were chosen for this season and began making alliances even before filming began.
That makes the interpersonal dynamics much more complicated this season and is one good reason to keep shaking things up.
Yay! I have no idea how tonight is going to play out. I’m stoked! I like these little surprise change ups this season.

I’m wondering why no one noticed little packages attached to the trunks last night? I assume if it’s on one color it would be on the others as well. Maybe they’re just going so fast in the challenge that they don’t notice the small details.
