Fans have been left shocked by disturbing footage of John Lennon mocking disabled people.
The Beatles legend was an inspiration to many, but over the years his darker side has been revealed - and TV show It Was Alright In The 1960s has brought him back under fire.

I’m no Lennon fan but you can’t judge someone for having done something 50 years ago that has since been deemed outrageously offensive.
Sensitivities have changed, sometimes for the better, but most of the time for the worse.
There was some suggestion that at the time of his death, that he actually liked Reagan, the two had an impromptu meeting during halftime on Monday Night Football, and Reagan spent some time with him explaining the rules of Football.

Well, no. He said that back in the ‘60s and he was gunned down in 1980 or so.
Domestic abuse was never okay but in the 50-60s jokes about spastics and learning impared people were common. Look at some of the comedians like Jerry Lewis. They were never kind but that’s how it was.

Who cares where it was, it was cruel. You didn’t get the way he moved his mouth to sound like someone who was retarded, and the way he held his hands and buckled his leg, imitating someone who was handicapped? Quite possibly, you need glasses or new ones if you currently wear them.
