Fans have been left shocked by disturbing footage of John Lennon mocking disabled people.
The Beatles legend was an inspiration to many, but over the years his darker side has been revealed - and TV show It Was Alright In The 1960s has brought him back under fire.

What I find “disturbing” is how easily upset and offended our pansy world has become.
Isn’t he the one who said the Beatles were more popular than Jesus right before he was gunned down?
LIBERAL to the bone..
Imagine that.
John Lennon always had a bit of a mean streak.
“What a POS.”
What was it he sang? “Imagine no possessions, it’s easy if you try”
Evidently not so easy he could do it because he was worth 40 million when he died
And a hypocrite too.
“Imagine no possessions, I wonder if you can”
While the POS drove around NYC in a Rolls Royce.
That was more than ten years prior.
He’s mocking the tenny bopper audience.
It was 14 years earlier but yeah he is the one who said it.
he is responsible for the quote yes
when he made the statement I dont know.
he was a jackass yes.
he never lived long enough to grow up!
If the so-called disable (80% plus of them are simply overeaters) wouldn’t be taking away the best parking spaces, I wouldn’t have a problem with them either.
Next you’ll be telling me that the founder of Planned Parenthood wanted to get rid of all black people in the United States.
This has nothing to do with being “pansied.” What he did was horrible and you must remember - this was back in the 60s and 70s. That was very cruel of him. What disturbed me was the way the audiences was yelling, screaming and egging him on - how disgusting! Of course, the Beatles were high most of the time - so, there’s that.
It is no secret that John Lennon’s early behavior was often terrible. His last several years were lived quietly. I am not sure what the point is of bringing this up about someone who was murdered 40 years ago.
People do stupid, cruel and evil things from time to time. Don’t put someone on a pedestal unless you willing to see them fall.
Everyone who was close to John would have told you that he was a big jerk.
They also don’t remember him urinating on someone from the second floor and screaming “teardrops from heaven.”
Went to the link and I’m not seeing it. I mean, I saw the video but don’t get what the controversy is all about. This was part of the Beatles schtick back then. I believe they did a concert at the Royal Albert Hall around the same time in which John asked the commoners to clap their hands and for the royalty to “rattle their jewelry.”
Unless he repented and accepted Jesus before his death - yes, I can imagine that he has no possessions where he now lives.
