SHUT UP! How do you like that? I’m not a liberal and everyone on here knows it. Just who the heck are you? Someone who apparently enjoys watching a druggie make fun of those with handicaps - I’d call that liberal. And you don’t tell me what to do either, so I’m just throwing it back in your face. I refuse to respond to any more of your posts - so don’t bother answering.
Jerry Lewis made a huge career out of those same actions.
What you are is an unforgiving prick!
That just makes the song Imagine even more hypocritical
You won't get far if you keep on stickin' your hand in the medicine jar.

No
He said in spring1966 that the Beatles were more popular than Jesus
He was murdered in Late 1980
I thought Lennon had issues from no real parents
Ringo and George were the nice ones
Fat Fat Fat America
I drove by a low income house in Lebanon TN today
6 or 7 pasty greasy haired women all four hundred to five hundred pounds
Dirty unwashed mulatto babies doting the dirty messy yard
Welcome to white trash America
I’m supposed to respect that?
I’ve learned from Trump
Eff apologizing except to those who really matter for egregious offenses
I listen to the Beatles, Stones, Zeppelin......Rock, country, big band, blues and classic..... Not jazz made after the 1940, not cRap.
I do not somnambulate through the music. I know what it all means and enjoy much of the content. I am not a prig.... I do not listen to songs that condemn America or what America stands for. I will change the channel if ‘American Woman’ comes on..... Or ‘Mr. Saturday Night Special’ comes on the radio. I find those offensive
I thought Huckabee’s family was still in Arkansas?
Post #12 you nailed it. I go to Walmart and there is always a grotesque obese mofo riding the cart.
I despised the sneering attitude that came with the music, which was itself “in-your-face” disavowal of what up to then had been considered to be simple common sense. People may have been willing to pay for that, but it was poor value in exchange.
I remember seeing a documentary about it. Mark Chapman, who murdered him, decided to read all the books in the library, beginning with A. When he got to Catcher in the Rye he said it was like a revelation to him. He then began living his life as if he were Holden Caulfield, the main character in the book. Before he shot Lennon, he hired a prostitute, but just spent the time talking to her, which (my memory hazy here) was either what Holden did in the book, or was so he could talk to someone about Holden Caulfield. Basically, he became more and more convinced that John Lennon was a 'big phony', something Holden Caulfield spends a lot of the book complaining about, until by the end he kind of has a mental breakdown, if I recall correctly. In a word, Chapman was insane. That's the motive.
Isnt he the one who said the Beatles were more popular than Jesus right before he was gunned down?

Were you even born when either of the 2 events you mention occurred?
It appears not.
Heh heh, probably one of those who knows of the Beatles as that band Paul McCartney was in before he joined “Wings.”

Or with the crowd that thought that Kanye West was doing some new artist named McCartney a favor by doing a project with him.
Oh lands, I was a teen when the Beatles hit the world stage. What a stupid question. That’s how I remembered Lennon making the statement, but wasn’t sure when it was said.
Yes, I agree. Your question was kinda dumb (I would not say stupid).
