The FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force has arrested two animal-rights activists after they spent half a year driving 40,000 miles around the U.S., raiding fur farms, and releasing about 5,740 mink into the wild. According to the Associated Press, in addition to freeing the mink (and one bobcat), Joseph Buddenberg, 31, and Nicole Kissane, 28, allegedly slashed tires, smashed windows, glued door locks, vandalized businesses using caustic acid, and even tried to flood a fur industry employee’s home.

Would bet that these same “activists” are ok with abortion and the selling of baby parts.

Wife’s granddad had a mink farm. When he died the liberals released all the mink. The mink died because they were not capable of surviving the wild. Funny as hell. Dead mink were everywhere.

IIRC, there was a stunt like this some years ago, and many of the freed minks, being feral and territorial critters, immediately turned on each other and tore each other to pieces.

Ooh, what a mess!

Did you ever witness the carnage of what mink do in the wild habitat? They destroy every nesting bird egg clutch just for fun after they are too full to eat much more. They kill anything that moves, much like a Fisher. Fishers are private and like solitiude. They stay very low in numbers with a large territiory per animal. Letting 5,000 mink loose in one are is like 5,000 furry cuisinarts ripping thru other critical habitat.

Morons.

“About a third of the released mink were let go from farms in Wisconsin.”

They hit us, again. They were also here in 2013!

I’d recommend tying them down nekkid, covering them in raw, ground chicken and the releasing 2,000 hungry mink upon them.

It's a JOURNALIST! We should be grateful that the guy can find a bathroom in a Walmart, and not just leave puddles on the floor in the women's underwear department.

Consider that, if you read the original, the writer referred the wackos as "The two men from Oakland, California, were identified as Joseph Brian Buddenberg, 31, and Nicole Juanita Kissane, 28." I'd wager that the first version of this story asked why these people weren't being voted a medal by Congress.

Yep. They absolutely fit the stereotype. I doubt they could care less about animals. But they love the attention.

These two are going to end up as mink coats for some inmate. They will be keeping one or more of them during those cold nights. Enjoy.

The last time they did this, the mink ran straight out onto a highway and got squashed.

Must be crazy living with a Disney movie brain.
