A series of injuries at Yellowstone National Park has officials warning tourists that selfies and bison don't mix.
A 43-year-old Mississippi woman was thrown into the air recently after she turned her back on a bison to take a photo of herself with it.

I hate it when my trail gets gored.
Actually, not a bad idea. Turn the entire border region into a wildlife refuge with bison, wolves, mountain lions and bears. Plenty of Mexican food to eat, at least for a few years.
Something put out by the park service years ago.
I spent my 17th summer working in YNP...Don’t remember bison...it was the bears we were wary of.
Post of the day
LOL
So, you want to play chicken?
She took one for the team though.
She raised a pack of dummies.
We lose more tourists that way.
It’s a word that comes up often these days in tragedies.
Yesterday, man was repeatedly struck by a cobra as he was taking selfies with the reptile.
He used up all the snake venom medicine in two counties.
A moose once bit my sister...
No realli! She was Karving her initials on the moose with the sharpened end of an interspace toothbrush given her by Svenge - her brother-in-law - an Oslo dentist and star of many Norwegian movies: "The Hot Hands of an Oslo Dentist", "Fillings of Passion", "The Huge Molars of Horst Nordfink"...
Mynd you, moose bites Kan be pretti nasti...
We saw one black bear sow with her cubs up in the NE area of the park. Lots of road construction going on in the park which made travel to other areas a real PITA. 30+ minute single lane construction delays were common. Never did get to the Lamar valley where most of the grizzly and wolves congregate in the summer.
Stupid should hurt. By all means, keep taking selfies with Bison. And while they’re at it, I suggest rubbing salmon eggs all over their hands to get a cute selfie of a cuddly grizzly bear cub licking their palm. (True story)
Its what I call the Disnification of the world. People think that animals are their friends. They also think that because they are kind and gentle, that the animal is going to sense that, and be kind and gentle. But us evil conservatives should be killed and eaten by all creatures, since we are mean and like guns.
For the record, more people are killed in Alaska from moose than bears. Moose need a little more respect.
As fast as a Volkswagen, out weigh it and have NO crumple zone on their front end. Get back.
The guy on the right is laughing because he knows he doesn’t have to outrun the buffalo, he only needs to outrun his wife and children...
The bus driver hissed in a low voice "Get away from that moose, you fool!"
There was an enormous bull moose, if I were standing on level ground, I would have been looking directly into the lower shoulder of that animal's front leg.
It was placidly chewing, and looking with it's beady, bored looking eyes at a guy with a camera who was less than five feet from it snapping pictures.
After we drove on, the guy driving the bus said something like "Yeah, they look like they would act like big cows, chewing and looking bored, but they can change in a split second, for no reason, to something else that is very bad..."
Ya think?
