The Ford Mustang and BMW M4, at face value, probably don’t appear to have a whole lot in common. They go at it from opposite ends of the enthusiast landscape: The Mustang is the quintessential pony car—an American icon by almost any definition—while the BMW M4 builds on decades of finely groomed performance pedigree. Price-wise there’s a vast difference, too; you could get two high-performance, V-8-powered Mustang GT Coupes for approximately the price of a base BMW M4. Yet these two models have become more closely aligned than you might think, in recent years. Both models are nearly identical in overall width and height and within a few inches in overall length.

Why do you think that the German automakers are flocking to the southern US and mexico? It isn’t for the experienced workforce. The only reason they moved to the western hemisphere is to keep the chinese and indians from stealing all of their trade secrets (that they stole from the US), and exploit free trade loopholes.
Either way it doesn’t matter, because about 80% of every vehicle manufactured in the western hemisphere comes out of china. So, you would rather support chinese communists, mexican fascists, and german socialists just to get rid of US trade unions?
That Lambo is pretty, but I still wish they’d revived the Miura. Some ten years ago, that was one amazing concept car.

But ultimately, the Huracan is the most beautifully styled car I've ever seen...including my visit to the Pagani "factory" where I had a personal, after hours tour. Came "that" close to test driving it but a major rain storm kept the demo and me indoors.
Seems like price-wise, the new Shelby GT-350 is a better candidate for a head-to-head with the M4. Using a big chunk of either car’s potential will put a goofy smile on a the driver’s face.
Yabbut, would you drive that in crowded city streets? I could nver understand how the few superwide Ferraris I have seen in the past tooling around L.A. could do that. I would be on pins and needles.
If you can afford a Ferrari, tooling around town would a typical drive to the grocery store for us.

The BMW plant in Spartanburg, SC is non-union.
My BMW X-5 has 1 part *not* made in the USA .... it's some little plastic clip, and it's made in Canada.
The *reason* why BMW built a plant in the USA ...is b/c of the weak dollar.

American cars and cheap interiors — it’s like an iron law of nature. Back in the muscle car era they were cheap but cool. But now they’re just cheap.
I’ve got a 2013 V6 Mustang and recently drove both the 2015 Mustang EcoBoost 4 cylinder turbo and the V6. The handling of the 2015 was so much better than mine and you couldn’t tell the difference in power between the 4 and the 6.
IMO, photos of the new Mustang don’t do it justice. In person (and without stripes), it’s as gorgeous as many Euro cars more noted for their beauty. Skip the stupid racing stripes though, unless you really want the retro effect.
I've never had so much fun with a car. Always great to have a car you love. Congrats on yours. She's a beauty.
When I rented the 2015 GT Mustang I remember thinking that the handling was not bad at all. The next morning I looked and sure enough it was an independent rear suspension.

Back in that era they were cheap but solid. A thief tried to steal the radio out of my 71 Grand Prix - which had a formed steel dash.
broke the AC duct and some trim, but couldn't get the radio out.
