They are successful because they hold to Christian values from top to bottom.
Please someone! Open a Chick-fil-A in Reno!!!!
I guess it couldn’t be closing on Sunday gained some blessing from above?
It was like hitting the Trifecta of perfect customer service. I almost wanted to end my life then and there as life could not possibly get any better than it was at that moment.
Good customer service still exists.
I'm glad I didn't end my life though, because a lot of good things happened to me after that too. I'm thinking I have another 30 years or so of good thing to get through before I'm done with this particular life.
I drive through for the diet lemonade!
RE: I guess it couldnt be closing on Sunday gained some blessing from above?
That and the Owner’s fidelity to the Biblical plan for marriage.
Chick had lines at least three times longer than any other joint; while waiting and studying the menu board I happened to mention to the guy next to me that I was a 'first timer'.....and almost immediately three or four others began offering advice on their favorite delicacies.
I like their customer service; I like their ads; I like their morals and their politics. There’s only one problem: I don’t like their chicken sandwiches.
I buy waffle fries at Chick-fil-A from time to time just to support the cause.
And how about the diet lemonade?
I like fried chicken from KFC, and Zaxby's, and Bojangles chicken-biscuits. I like how the chicken is a little different each place. My grocery even has good, *cheap* fried chicken in its deli.
Do you cook? If you save your fried chicken leftover bones, you can throw them into a boil of hot water for half an hour and get some excellent stock. Talk about squeezing a penny tip it screams for mercy.
Yes, these were typical college jobs (call center, campus grill), but that experience speaks volumes.
Plus, they had a standing invitation to go back to their Chick-fil-A when home on breaks or short vacations. Traffic was heavier then and they could always use the help.
I'm with you, though I don't as a rule by a lot of fast food, just the occasional meal. Usually I can find something palatable in most places, the major exclusions are B.K., Taco Bell (both leave me feeling ill) and Carl's which first turns me off with their offensive ads and really messy sandwiches. Chick-fil-A as well as In-N-Out have maintained awesome customer service and family orientation.
My wife and I went last night here in Pittsburgh area. It was 8:45 pm and the drive thru wrapped all the way around the building. We went in like we had planned on doing and there was a line 5 deep inside. The staff was very nice and friendly. The food was great. The customers seemed upbeat also.
My problem with Chick-fil-A is that I don’t really like their sandwich. Sorry about that.
Now offer me a Philly Cheese Steak from the local sandwich shop and I will be going Yum-Yum. I think these brothers that run the place are escapees from Philly. Perfect sandwich.
I like that they play Christian music over the sound system.
The error rate on my orders at local McD’s and Wendy’s is greater than 50%. I’ve never seen a mistake in my order it Chick Fil A. They have more people at the window, friendlier, and more accurate.
There are a lot of Hispanics at the drive thrus in my area. In my experience, they are no harder to understand and are friendlier and care more than the worst sub-group of fast food workers: the spoiled children of the middle-class. The 16 year old girl in tight jeans, who can’t sound out her consonants, and is offended that you might expect your order to be accurate - this is the source of drive-through evil in America. I welcome the Mexicans who will take away the jobs of the Tiffany’s and Shanequa’s of the world.
I'm not either but my nephews and niece are big fans as are my boyfriends girls so I wind up there once a month or so. And what sells Chick-fil-A to me is the cleanliness and the customer service and the fact that not once in all our visits has our order ever been screwed up, the last part being unheard of in today's fast food industry.
I agree with you. The praise for speaking English was not a slam at any ethnic group but, rather, praise for people who understand me and speak in a way that I can understand THEM.
Well, there ya go! ;-)
We were at our local CFA last year with about 6-7 people. Complex order with 2-3 minor mistakes.
The kids all had shakes and they forgot to make one. The manager handed me one and I said, I’m sorry, I miscounted, we still need one more. Instead of “My pleasure sir” she said “You’re killing me.”
We both laughed. That works too.
I once tried explaining a Chick-Fil-A sandwich to relatives whose area was deprived. It’s fried chicken breast on a bun with no sauce and a pickle.
And yet, it’s like crack (or what I’ve heard about crack).
They didn’t understand until Chick-Fil-A opened in their area.
Oh, and the English-speaking employees are nice too!
