This Man Owns the Largest Collection of Nazi Artifacts
New York Post ^ | June 27, 2015 | Alex Preston

When he was 5 years old, Kevin Wheatcroft received an unusual birthday present from his parents: a bullet-pocked SS stormtrooper’s helmet, lightning bolts on the ear-flaps. He had requested it especially.

The next year, at a car auction in Monte Carlo, he asked his multimillionaire father for a Mercedes: the G4 that Hitler rode into the Sudetenland in 1938.

Tom Wheatcroft refused to buy it and his son cried all the way home.

When Wheatcroft was 15, he spent birthday money from his grandmother on three WWII Jeeps recovered from the Shetlands, which he restored himself and sold for a tidy profit. He invested the proceeds in four more vehicles, then a tank.

The one in the pic only has a single rear axle.

The one we got had the double rear axle and Ed had a letter of authenticity from the old man who had been Georing's chauffeur during the war. . . along with photos so we knew it was authentic.

Darn. :(

But I guess the coolness factor might offset the rotten gas mileage. ;)

No, George would collect Marx, Lenin, Mao, Pol Pot, and other Commie memorabilia, not Nazi.

"...but what sort of man cuts off communication with his seven siblings, just to add more to his collections? "

It might be because he was the sole inheritor of his father's estate. I wonder why the father did that?

He was alleged to be a NAZI collaborator during the war.

He was alleged to be a NAZI collaborator during the war.

He was fourteen when World War II in Europe ended, kind of hard to be a collaborator at eight to thirteen years old, don't you think?

He said he doesn’t regret it, that someone else would’ve done it anyway.

Done what? His country, Hungary, was part of the Axis powers. That doesn't make him a "Nazi collaborator," to be a ten year old school boy in a nation that goes to war on the wrong side when you're that young. His choices and actions as an adult are for what I condemn him.

I suggest you read about Soro's youth. He is a Jew. During the war he changed his name to not be identified as a Jew. He turned in many Jews to the Nazi's.

He said in an interview decades later that those years were the happiest times of his life -- the years he turned in fellow Jews for extermination.

Soros is probably one of the most evil humans alive on Earth.

“I would sure like to have all the old WWII and WWI stuff, that I had as a kid.”

Army Surplus stores were a blast when I was a kid in the Fifties! I had all kinds of stuff!

I have an Arisaka rifle my Uncle brought back from “island hopping.” Flower intact. I need to get some ammo for it!. It’s mint. And not one of the late war crappy ones.

I also have an Arisaka 7.7. Bayonet included and “Mum” intact. Ammo is available and is expensive. I don’t shoot mine much. I also have an 8mm Mauser 98 that is sweet. There were many of these rifles in my area in the 50’s and 60’s. Veteran bringbacks.

Whenever I see a collection of Nazi war memorabilia, it reminds me of how we kicked their Teutonic asses and took what they had.

This makes me very happy.

Then it reminds me that we let them keep all the land and industry that almost every other nation would have seized from them. And then it reminds me we rebuilt them into the fine nation they are now.

And this makes me very happy because it reminds me of the Godliness and generosity of America.
