Men value intelligence in women far above large breasts and long legs, a Cambridge evolutionary biologist has claimed.

Although having a large bust and never-ending pins are deemed by western culture as the epitome of femininity, when choosing a mother for their children, men look for brains first,

Professor David Bainbridge, of the University of Cambridge said that intelligence is by far the most attractive quality for men looking for a long term partner because it demonstrates that his chosen partner is likely to be a responsible parent.

I met my wife on a blind date set up by a Cristian friend. He was at a party, and when he met her he felt as if GOD wanted us to be together. Now I am not a boob man, but when I met her lets just say that she had some damn healthy 'lungs'. She had a large moment of inertia, and was dynamically unstable. Simply put: it all depends on what a man wants; a one night stand or a long term relationship. And this evolves throughout a man’s lifetime.

Also maturity plays a big role in a long term relationship.

I'll tell you what attracted me to my wife (in addition to being beautiful). I was at a very low point in my life; some people I'd thought were friends had turned against me. She came up, on her own, and told me "Don't listen to them! You're a good person!"

I knew at that moment she was the one. That was over 35 years ago... :-)

I can see this as well. Years ago I was in charge of a document control area in a company where I worked. A very attractive woman had to work with me in my small office for about a week to implement a new computer system. All the guys were envious and there were jokes about how lucky I was. And this woman was absolutely gorgeous. I could not wait for her to get out of my office. I literally could not have any real conversation with her and it was beyond annoying.

The article lost me when it stated in the fourth paragraph, “It may explain why a man like George Clooney ended up marrying human rights barrister Amal Alamuddin.”

First thing... George Clooney is a great actor, he is like Marlon Brando, “dumber than a box of hammers”. He is a complete and total leftist global warming worshipping wing nut who does not normally behave in a rational way. Whether it is heaping praise or raising money for Hillary or Obama on most every subject you can depend on him to always parrot the communist party line.

But second, his wife Amal is 17 years his junior which makes her much older than the women George typically pursues. Miley Cirrus is much closer to his normal prey. While I am certain that Amal shares his political views and can only be described as very pretty... this still looks a lot like something set up by the studios and George’s PR people. Amal does come from a family with multiple ties to terrorist organizations. So George probably should treat her right, although the Middle Eastern culture she comes from places a low value on women. So he is probably still free to pursue girls in their late teens and early twenties on the side.

Third, one of the premises of the article was that men pick smart women because they feel that they will make better mothers to their children. But according to the tabloids, “George Clooney has no intention of getting his wife Amal Alamuddin pregnant, and it will be a miracle if the couple makes it to the one-year wedding anniversary without getting a divorce. The actor and attorney can’t seem to agree on anything, but the one fight that is single-handedly destroying their marriage is whether or not they will have a baby and start a family. Amal Alamuddin isn’t exactly a young woman and her biological clock is ticking – but George Clooney has made it very clear that he doesn’t want his wife to get pregnant, and even admitted that he doesn’t want kids in a recent interview.”
