Jewish groups are expressing outrage and concern after Greek officials demanded that the Star of David be removed from the outside of a new Holocaust museum on the eve of its opening, according to multiple statements released by these groups.

Greece, like other countries in Europe, continues to be plagued by growing anti-Semitism. Nearly all of Greece’s once-vibrant Jewish population was murdered during the Holocaust.

Probably have no problem with the crescent moon, though. This is moral relativism. Jews and christians are under attack. As Santayana reminds us: "Those who do not remember the past are forced to relive it".

Nothing they say is worth anything.

And nothing they say would be worth anything in any case if they can't remember seeing those old black & white photos of the Jew's incredible suffering in those hellish Nazi death camps.

While I realize that many Greeks also suffered under Nazi occupation, their plight was not in the least degree comparable to the incredibly cruel suffering of millions of European Jews under Hitler's reign of terror.

I have no truck with Greeks who want to stupidly and cruelly remove the Jewish star from a museum but they suffered under the Italians, the Germans, the Soviets and the Greek communists under the 20th century. Oh, I think I forgot the Turks. Greece is in a horrible place geographically but that shouldn’t let them turn a blind eye to the Jews. But then they’re are Liberal/Communist Europeans...
