I saw charlize theron, i read the premise of the storyline, and decided that is exactly what this is. Will not be seeing it.
It is a crappy storyline and thin. Will probably really have to rely on camera and action stuff to make up for a weak plot.
It’s a parable on the Obama Administration. Nominal lead does nothing, while African-American woman drives the action.
Radio ads were singing the movie’s praises. That raised a bunch of red flags for me.
PS. “Men” (with good moral character) and the so-called “1 percent” built up society. The opposite is what’s tearing it down.

Because Hollywood can’t come up with original ideas, they attempt to remake the greats ... and screw them up every time. No way this remake even comes close to the original (and it was bad at it’s best), no way.
Can’t anybody just watch a frigging movie without dissecting it for political “messages”? This always makes me think of snobs looking at a “painting” of a bunch of paint blobs and discussing the “meaning”.
The first one was great, second also, but then it sort of went dry ... this new one is just a feminist screed.

I’m a friend of Emil Minty; he’s a true blue Aussie - where ‘men are men’ and also where George Miller made sure he was at the Red Carpet Premiere two nights ago. I’ll try to get his perspective on this, if he’ll bend so low. If so, I’ll report back.

Well didn’t CT star in a live version of AEON FLUX ? ( Actually, I went to see it, I think ! ) I suppose it was all there in the original animation, but somehow the idea of a superhuman female didn’t seem to carry the political import that we see in this, but maybe it was always already all there.
the plot was weak
the action was non stop
It was goofy and entertaining
and like most modern action movies these days, women are heroines, but they are also feminine
it is not your Daddy’s Mad Max
but it was not a lost ticket
the men actors played the craziest of characters, it was like the zombie apocalypse with common makeup

I don’t know about that, but George Miller, the director of all the Mad Max movies, was an Australian emergency room doctor before he quit medicine to make movies.
I stopped wasting money at the movie theater 15 years ago. I will not pay commies to trash my country.
