I see the Filipino knocking him out. I could be very wrong, of course.

I used to box. I always had a plan against a boxer with superior power until he hit me. Then my plan was to see my mother again one last time.
You jut get lost. The SOLID jab to the face 100 percent head on by someone really strong just almost completely disorients you. At least it did me.
And the same happened to opponents who I hit harder than from what I saw.

I agree.

This will be a ‘head’ game and he has a better head

But I’m sure you are favored to win if you have the longer reach (as Mayweather has )...

Boxing is a joke, these “boxers” wouldn’t last a minute against an MMA fighter.

Well now, that’s easy. He gets lots of practice at home . . . beating his wife.

Royce Gracie proved that back in the day.

All things being equal. I have to say that I have not followed professional boxing that close since heavyweight division got taken over with boring Klitchko fights. Not their fault they’re just that big and fast and freakish.
But reach without equal strength isn’t a big enough asset. You would know better if they have equal strength, I bet.

Because he only fights weaker opponents. He’s a good boxer, but he has a long history of avoiding fights he might lose, waiting until they get too old and lose and edge.

He’s 38 years old and commanding this big of a payoff?
There must not be very many young contenders good enough to knock his crown off.

I badly want Mayweather to lose, I can't think of any Champion I have less respect for personally. I fear Manny Pacquiao isn't the guy to finally beat Mayweather, but I have to hope.

Lots of MMA fighters lose to a strike caused KO and generally they aren’t as skilled at striking as boxers. With their minimal head movement and very different footwork, against a heavy puncher they are going to have to be very lucky not to get knocked out while trying to close. If they manage to close it’s a very different game of course.

Its hard for a boxer to defend against kicks to the outside of the leg. Not to mention the occasional foot to the side of the head.

Enough of those and the boxer goes down pretty easily, I'd imagine.

Not even to mention the sudden rush and hard take down.

Amen. Even going x3 two-minute rounds or x2 three-minute rounds can be exhausting, even for someone who is young & in good shape. Boxing takes a different type of psychology, fitness, and stamina than other sports. Max respect.

With rules to be followed, most MMA fighters wouldn’t last 3 rounds with a well trained boxer.

as an ex boxer have to respectfully disagree with you. If the boxer gets the first punch in, that’s all she wrote. I’ve even seen it happen with MMA.
