Two years ago, Army Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, the nation’s top military officer, laid down an edict on the Obama administration’s plan to open direct land combat jobs to women: If women cannot meet a standard, senior commanders better have a good reason why it should not be lowered.
Today, the “Dempsey rule” appears to have its first test case.
The Marine Corps just finished research to see if female officers could successfully complete its rigorous Infantry Officer Course.

We all knew this was coming. If the standards are too tough for women, then lower the standards.

They did it in the police depts. and fire depts. and IMO it has compromised effectiveness. It will do the same here and people will die because of it, but in the lib mind being pc is more important, that is one reason liberalism IS INDEED a mental illness.

The Marines are not fighting the war on women, they are fighting the enemy.
If the standards are lowered then the casualties will be raised.
Every time a female replaces a male in the military, the overall effectiveness of our forces, declines a touch, today they are about 15%, so the decline has been substantial, and the goal is to reach 50% or more.
Why would the military be SEEKING to replace soldiers and sailors with replacements that are a shorter, lighter, weaker, sicklier, less aggressive, slower moving, more terrain limited, reduced distance traveling, hygienically vulnerable, smaller weight carrying, more prone to injury, version.

There should be no standards, and everyone should get a plastic trophy at the finish.

Creating a special “female” standard is how they got them in the military in the first place.
When this took off in the early 1970s the first problem the military faced was having to find out what females couldn’t do, and find out what they could do. so that they could create a “female” standard for them.
It was trial and error, the females could not use the male standard of course, that was a given from day one, so they had to first keep dumbing down the standards until they could reach the level of what women could pass, and then they could write an official standard for them.
As a woman this sickens me. There is a role for men and women in life and they are not the same nor should they be.
PS. Do not call them soldiers...
In every case since the disestablishment of the WAC and the other services equivalent arrangements for women, the standards have been changed. The standards have also been lowered not only so that some women could meet the requirement, but to ensure that the pass percentage matches that of men. The end result is two different sets of standards. This will happen again, as the political crowd has already decided that women will be admitted to every branch and type of unit and they don’t care about the consequences.
This has nothing to do about combat or even military. This is just a demonstration of the political power of the Left wing feminists. Do you think that a single one these loonies would ever volunteer for the military, much less for infantry or special operations forces? Of course not.

Lowering our standards for Marines makes as much sense as lowering our standards when voting for the White House. Sadly, liberals approve of both in the name of diversity, no matter how many good people die as a result.
