"I wish my teacher knew how much I miss my dad because he got departed to Mexico when I was 3-years-old and I haven't seen him in six years," read one answer shared by Shwartz.

Was he in the country illegally?

obama amnesty plant ....follow the bouncing ball. The kid will probably be the child of someone associated with his campaign, activist goups, or staffers...

If he/she was born in this country, Issue him/her a passport and send him/her off to stay with his/her father.

I couldn’t write such a sentence in third grade and I was smart. Kids don’t go into detail. They would just say “I miss my dad” This is a lie. When I was in High School and writing in my English journal about my father’s death. I wrote I miss him. Didn’t write what he died of, etc. I call bull.

There’s a couple of threads on FR about this kid who wrote about Common Core in front of adults. Working with kids for Nickelodeon at various age groups, I know that kid didn’t write that script. And this one raised my BS meter too. I wish that teacher knew the student was full of crap...

It sucks being the kid of a lawbreaker from another country. Not our problem.

I questioned this when I saw the use of hyphens in the sentence.

I feel bad. Let’s reunite the kid with his father, wherever he is.

I wish my teacher knew.....collectivist totalitarianism is bad, and no matter what she thinks now, she will never be one of the ruling elite under socialism, and she’s simply viewed as a useful idiot by those who mean to be.

If these were seventh-graders....I might believe the story and the hyphen usage. Third-graders? No.

It’s fake, or she rewrote it for publication.

A suggestion for the next class writing project: My teacher lacks......

Check the photo of the paper - the handwriting changes after “I miss my dad.”

lol. I am thinking of the scene in Toy Story when Tom Hanks’ character gets so frustrated and screams “YOU ARE A TOY!!”
I just want to yell “THEY ARE ILLEGAL. WHAT DONT YOU GET!!”
I’m trying to remember if any country ever survived for long once they lost control of the borders.

Not shocking. Mother probably finished it. Did any kids write “I wish my parents didn’t have sex like wild animals with no intention of staying together, working and raising me in a good environment. I wish the country would use peer pressure to make marriage fashionable again”

It appears the editor took the liberty to add the hyphens. The written copy by the student, shown in the link, has a note without hyphens.

Well, at least she didn’t have them write get well letters to some piece of garbage cop killer in prison. I sure hope his diabetes doesn’t cause him to lose body parts. I would be sad.
