Not really a joking matter. And I gather that Harrison Ford did the best he could in the circumstances.

Mr Ford did an exceptional display of airmanship skills to get the PT22 on the ground.

The PT 22 is very dangerous aircraft to have an engine out on take off in

I knew a guy who said he had two dead stick landings in the same type. Sold the aircraft after the second one. Glad Harrison is gonna be okay.

Oh, now he’s 70? I thought it was 72. He was born in 1940- gonna be 75.Every year he gets younger?? He’s older than the plane he crashed! As for the Tweets- Mark Hamill had the best- a subtle ‘stop flying’ message: May all of his future flights be green screen...right he is! Safer for everyone on the ground if he pretends he’s Han Solo while on a movie set! Does anyone have the guts to suggest that HIS age- not that of the plane- was a contributing factor?

What effect would Harrison Ford’s age have on an engine failure?

The golf course he set the plane down is throwing distance from the local airport where he took off from. I want to know if he made par on the shot?

And are they going to make him replace the divot?

They’re just not making Ryan PT-22’s anymore.

True ... but I bet if you get a bunch of EAAers together, they'll have it flying again. :-)

The course is 72. The hole is a par 4 I think a good 8 iron from where the plane lies he could be able to salvage a 4. When he gets out of the hospital.
He will have to pay the club for that, one hell of a, divot!
All players after the crash were allowed free lifts, if in the “ground under repair”.

Is the President OK? Harrison Ford could have endangered his life.

Megan was about wetting her pants as she breathlessly covered this crash in endless breaking news boredom. I was not watching it but my husband was until he got angry and turned it off. It made me laugh.

I am sick of all the butt kissing in the news articles. Saying he was the best pilot ever, calling him a hero (for not hitting a house),etc etc.

I saw a picture of the plane from about a month ago. It looked like it had a lot of new parts and rivets on it. I think flying around Southern California in an open cockpit would be a lot of fun.
