Bridezilla Alert! Bride-to-be Launches Media Offensive over the 'Wrong' Doilies - But Can You ....
Daily Mail (U.K.) ^ | February 27, 2015 | Kelly McLaughlin

Posted on 02/27/2015 3:39:13 PM PST by Cecily

A Dallas bride-to-be has been left devastated 36 days before she says 'I do' after a mix-up over her doily-covered wedding invitations.

Natalie DeGraffenreid ordered custom, doily-decorated invitations from the Arlington-based company, Art by Ellie. But what she received in the mail was not what she ordered.

Her distress began when she opened the package from stationary firm - half of her invitations had the wrong doily design.

DeGraffenreid was so upset about the doilies that she turned to her local ABC TV station to warn others of her experience.

——She looks almost too old for him, especially in the other pics in the article.-——

I agree ... At first glance, I thought she was his mother...!

The organist for my in-laws wedding didn’t show up either. He was killed in a car accident on the way to the church.

I remember my florist doubled the price for my flowers right before my wedding and dared me to cancel. They told me there wasn’t enough time for anyone else to turn around such a large order, they didn’t count on several florists being able to turn around smaller ones :)

EXCELLENT!!!

I didn’t go back and tell her, I just left taking my money with me.

“I hope this guy is saving up now for their weddings.”

I have 3 daughters, and a standing offer to any suitor of $50 and a new ladder.

My wife made her dress, her mother and sisters made all the picnic style food, my crew and I set up the town hall, my best friend ran the grill, the Chief of Police performed the ceremony ( Justice of the Peace )on the lawn, local band rocked well into the night, and 250 people had a great time. Married 23 years, 33 years together, 2 Eagle scout sons, 1 an eletromechanical engineer, 1 studying to be an A/P mechanic, I’m blessed.

We have stuff but the material things are irrelevant, strong family, we pull as a team and don’t get hung up on “doilies”.

If you raise em right, it ain’t such a problem. Your own church is right there. There are amazing parks, backyards, and fraternal halls all around you. Go to the Mexican side of town for a dress as good as money can buy for pennies on the dollar. Walmart had flowers last time I was there. And I bet you could order special ones even.

Go to a graphics printing shop for the invitations. I did with my daughters wedding. Had the proofs two days later, completed order in 5 days (with a 24 hour replacement guarantee if the product doesn't match the proofs), and I saved $400 over what Hallmark was going to charge.

A big red fire warning light just lit up on the marriage console. If I were this guy I’d punch out now before this bird explodes.

This bride is sending out her invitations only 36 days before her wedding? Bad form. Shot Gun wedding?

I helped out at a wedding reception at our church. The bride was a doctor’s daughter so I expected a pricey menu. It was a memorable reception. The local pizza restaurant catered it, they had the slices in the heated rotating display case and cans of pop in big tubs of ice. That was the extent of the buffet. The centerpieces were bowls of candy and after the meal they had games set up in the back room. Everyone was laughing and having a great time. Paper plates and napkins made the clean up easy for those of us in the kitchen. I was pretty impressed by the whole family’s lack of pretension. I’ve helped at a few weddings and she was the only bride to come to us and say thank you.

I also helped at a wedding for a family of much humbler means. That church had no dishwasher and the bride really wanted real dishes, despite her mother trying to talk her out of it. I washed dishes for about 150 people. I was the only one assigned to that task-thankfully someone stepped in to dry them after I had been doing it all by myself for awhile. Sweet girl, but she wasn’t really thinking about the fact that the entire “staff” preparing everything, serving it and cleaning up were volunteers from church.

I hope that our girls will have that same lack of pretension that your wife had.

I believe in the inalienable right to doily. She sure as shootin' had the right to be upset.

The groom.

She looks a lot older than him.

Reminds me of some of the people I have seen on House Hunters. The kind that want a million dollar house on a hundred thousand dollar budget. The kind you wish you could reach through the screen and bitch slap.

That’s how we handled daughter #1 and will follow that model for #2 as well. My son’s inlaws handled it that way as well (that’s where we learned it from).

No drama. They all knew there was no coming back to the well.

And yet, men rule when it comes to murdering significant others after a break-up.

It looks as though this girl demands drama in her life and her beau has picked up on that fact and obliges her. Then again, he is a fireman and he seems to enjoy sudden drama as well.
