Catholic priest on slamming Obama’s words about Islamic terror. Fr. Robert Sirico. On Cavuto.
A whiter shade of pale.
50 shades of gray? Er, two shades of gray?
Oh-okay-
“She said, ‘There is no reason, and the truth is plain to see’”...
When we called out for another drink, the waiter brought a tray.
But I wandered through my playing cards, and would not let her be...
I don’t believe no one else knows that song...
I was feeling kinda seasick, but the crowd called out for more...
That was a favorite song, and there is not much to do when it is 34 and raining-freep and crochet the afghan I’m almost finished with...
We had a music showcase today at a live music club/restaurant/bar downtown. My friends and family sounded very good. Everyone sounded good. Now it’s time for some hockey against Detroit.
Nope. Not that interested in song lyrics.
I’ve been into song lyrics and music in general so long I don’t even remember when it happened-so has my bro-since mom and dad were into it, too, I’m sure it is a learned behavior. If I don’t like the sound-like rap/hiphop or a lot of pop tunes, I won’t bother to listen to it, so I don’t know those lyrics-I just imprint the ones from music I like.

I have early memories of weekend trips to the city, staying in a hotel overnight and being taken to a symphony or an opera-the stereo was on in our house all the time, playing rock and roll, too-I was given a radio as a b-day present, and kept it on low all night-I still do that.
The music showcase sounds like a great time. What is the weather like there today? It is 45 and gloomy here-a bit warmer and rainy is predicted till Wed-then the frozen mix is back, with nights in the 20’s again...
When I was a teenager I was into it all, not so much now.
If music is playing during a life event-small or large-some part of my consciousness takes note of the tune/tunes and stores it. Forever after, that event is front and center when I hear the tune, right along with the emotions, be they positive or negative-and so, there are a few songs I will go to great lengths to avoid, because something negative happened all that time ago, but most are associated with happier memories-the first time I heard Bennie and the Jets, I was in a ferocious argument with my fiancé in his truck-but I won it, bigtime...
