No, you're not dreaming. This is an actual Pitbull-Dachshund puppy.
Don't even try to figure out how it makes sense, everything about him is perfect. Just appreciate his cute little feet and his ginormous adorable head.

He reminds us of our late Labrador/Dachsund named “Shorty”. Great dog. Looked just like a black Lab with little legs.
Miss him. He was ten when he passed on.
