n the just-completed 2024 presidential election, the Republican Party has won the White House for a third consecutive timeonly the third instance in a century that the GOP has managed this feat.
So its worth pausing over the origins and causes of this political achievementthis Republican triple play. In particular, we might ask: What additional political force has given the GOP this newfound political muscle? After all, from 1992 to 2012, the GOP had lost four of six presidential electionsand five of six in the popular vote. And yet the Republican presidential victories of 2016, 2020, and 2024 cannot be denied: Even the Main Stream Media are now willing to concede that GOP strength is more than just a blip.

I’ve had some good painkillers before, but nothing like those that Henry is gobbling by the handful.
It might have been mushrooms! :^)
why would anyone ever consider a person who not only helped vote in as AG Eric Holder, but actually went the extra mile to praise him?

It would be so nice to have a real patriot in the White House. Sessions would be an outstanding president.
LOL, I certainly wouldn’t categorize the quote in your linked New York Times article as going “the extra mile to praise” Eric Holder. Sessions is a great constitutional conservative Senator and he is not, as far as I know, planning on running for President. You need to understand that the linked Breitbart story was just that—a lighthearted little fictional story.
As for me, I’m a TED CRUZ 2016 type and plan on staying that course.
I would proudly vote for Jeff Sessions should he run for president. I think he’s too smart to do such a thing, however.
Could do worse.
Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III.
Gotta vote for a man with a name like that. ;-)

” I certainly wouldnt categorize the quote in your linked New York Times article as going the extra mile to praise Eric Holder”
You obviously did not read the quote in linked article.
Actually I did or I would not have commented on it. I guess we all vary in our understanding of text or discernment of how progressive media such as the NY Times can distort reality by taking of quotes out of context.
But feel free to continue to believe that Jeff Sessions is some sort of RINO or ‘RAT enabler.

LOL If he becomes President I’ll hold you responsible (i.e., give you the credit).
being in denial is how we conservatives have come to the state we are now in.
I choose to no longer be in denial, but to actually open my eyes and ears to what I see and hear.
People make mistakes, and Sessions made one on his support of Holder.
I have yet to see or hear him admit it though. This mask of acting conservative once every 6 years is what they are playing, and one must be vigilant, or, as you apparently are, just blissfully overlooking it.
