It should. It means the U.S. Government fails again at something related to our vets.

...and the VA is still not being held accountable or really changing anything in regards to murdering Veterans through neglect. But I thought Clown Prince nobama and the Worst Lady, mooch-elle, loved the military? How can this be? Have a Merry Christmas!

The WWP is extremely anti-gun-rights, to the point they will not even accept donations from gun-rights groups. I DO NOT support them, even knowing what good they do. I will not give a single $ to any organization that is actively against my right to keep and bear arms.

Governments provide a floor for someone. Others if they wish can always do more for those people.

It is much better that money is handled privately as more of it will reach the wounded soldiers because:

1. There is no political battle about taking some of the money to help unwed mothers or something.

2. There is less lost in bureaucratic costs.

I believe only 57% of funds of the WWP go to actual services.

Fisher House Foundation has almost 95%.

WWP may have started out with the best of intentions, but between it’s anti-2A management and the endless commercials it runs, I think it’s turned into another cash cow for the people who run it.

Plus, those relentlessly sad and pathetic ads make the military injured out to be crushed and ruined. They appear defeated.

Propaganda.

1) It's clear they are targeting conservatives for donations by their massive rotation on Fox.

2) How much of my donation is going to finance future commercials?

I've read that, too. I'd be interested in knowing what percentage donated goes to vets.

Exactly. A lot of the pitches to ‘give for wounded warriors’ portray them as having the body language of whipped dogs. I hate it.

They cower and whine.
Enough!

Wounded Warriors is a left-wing scam.

Raytheon supports the Wounded Warrior Project. I think several other defense contractors do, too.
The charity does some things before the VA steps in, like cash to help the family fly out to the hospital to visit the guy after his injury and cover living expenses before he gets disability. They may retrofit his home to that which can handle a wheelchair, and they readily give out bikes and trikes for those who’ve lost limbs. There is job retraining for some guys.

Does government/military aid cease after a soldier leaves the service?

The wounded military continue to receive medical treatment and disability payments if applicable.

WW provides many other services not related to military medical issues.

Most important, they have employment programs that attempt to match up the disabled veterans with employers

Go to Charitywatch for exact figures - about 40% of income goes to ads to raise more money. The salaries paid the top tier staff at WWP are, IMO, a crime....

Its thanks to bill “the pants dropper in chief” Clinton opening up the VA to all veterans as opposed to those who are wounded in combat and or has a service related disability. Because of that it is very hard for CW/ SRD vets to get the care they deserve.

If you don’t mind some harsh language, seek out the cartoon by “The Damn Few” over at the Rhino’s Den called “The Wizard Of VA” (a spoof of The Wizard Of Oz).
IMO SEALy sums it up quite well with his chants “ Follow the red tape road, follow the red tape road, follow follow follow follow follow the red tape road”.

They would not accept money from some kids who were in a Christian group years ago. I have no use for them. I have been seeing a lot of ads, too. If I want to donate money, I will contact my late cousin’s husband who is a Viet vet. He is a cyclist who rides to support the fallen warriors. My cousin’s first husband was KIA in Vietnam.

About half.
