People in a blue state whining about energy costs. LOL.
Call your Lord Obama and see if he’ll pay it.

The crazy Gaia worshipers on both coasts should have to pay through the nose for all the EPA regulations they have lobbied to have enacted. They should be sitting ion the dark.

I have two homes. One in Maryland and one in Florida......what a difference in price for most things. My 2700 square foot home in Arnold Maryland is around 7500 dollars where my 1809 square foot home in Florida is 2700 dollars (and would be down to around 1500 if I would homestead). It is crazy the difference in costs.

“Furthermore, despite claims that renewable sources are now cost-competitive with (or even cheaper than) coal and natural gas, The New York Times piece goes on to explain that the Massachusetts Legislature this past August failed to approve a coordinated regional strategy consisting of new pipelines because in part
cheap energy would flood in the market and thwart attempts to advance wind and solar projects. In other words, the legislature decided to keep electricity prices artificially high so that renewable projects could compete with coal and natural gas. Notably, an increased reliance on renewables for electricity generation is also a key component of the Clean Power Plan (Building Block 3).”

Skyrocketing energy costs at a time when natural gas is basically free is hilarious.
Serves those idiots right.

“Obama: Under my plan ... electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket.”
Well, you can’t say that Obama pulled a “bait and switch” on this one. He said quite plainly what his intentions were before he was elected (which oddly enough is a quality that seems to elude many RINO’s).They voted for him anyway. Suffer the consequences. Sucks to be them.
Unfortunately, a lot of people in my state are greatly suffering the consequences also.

I can’t believe that there are idiots in the NE who still heat with oil. Even at today’s prices, which won’t last long, this is flat crazy. Get natural gas/propane in there, leave, or quit whining.

I used to work for a competitive power company in TX, based in Canada (thanks 0bola), that had such vast resources at its disposal, it bought energy for its customers FIVE YEARS in advance. They buy it now to hold off 0bola's price increases.
It's also clean power, from coal and CH4, to atoms, windmills, and solar panels.
When I left, their price per hour, was 112∕5¢. With all taxes and fees included.
Meanwhile, the effective hourly rate for energy from Texas Utilities (the incumbent provider) was anywhere between 13½¢ 171∕5¢. I even saw a customer paying TWENTY cents per hour with them.
Forgive me if I sound like a salesman here; I'm just trying to illustrate the effect that 0bola's environmental regulations are having on people and businesses.
