Baghdad Bob is in terminal condition

Of every liberal, enemy agent, and other non-conservative person in this world whom I for the most part abhor, one person stands out whom I actually have a soft spot for. That, of course, is the infamous Iraqi Information Minister, colloquially known as "Baghdad Bob", during the start of the war in Iraq.

Ironically, every newscaster in the mainstream media in the United States has aspired to Bob's level of "substance" and have usually achieved such prominence, many actually surpassing Baghdad Bob's own rhetoric. To that end, one cannot really hate Baghdad Bob as much as one would like, as he was just one of the herd.

Nevertheless, many Americans, while wishing justified harsh consequences for regimes such as Hussein's (and their ministers), it should be noted that Baghdad Bob is on his deathbed. He gave an interview on Swedish TV.

I am conflicted. I know this guy was the mouthpiece for an evil regime, and knew full well what he was into, so on that count, I don’t feel the guy is deserving of my pity.

On the other hand, I am guessing he is probably a pathetic shell, and any just punishment for his acts on this earth are close at hand when meets his maker, and I cannot take much joy in that, because he associated with some pretty evil people.

BB had pretty much no choice. No one could have done a better job than he and I am sure he would have faced severe consquences if he went off script.

He knew he was full of crap and did the best he could with it.

Baghdad Bob was far more of a funny comedic character than genuine evil.
His commentary was so off-the-charts outlandish we all knew he was just keeping himself from catching a bullet.
We have many people in our current Obama Administration who are much more of a danger to our beloved country.
