It looks like there is a special connection between the Fraud Machine and Barack Obama. I.e.: when he’s on the ballot, the real $ and the real pros are engaged, and all the stops are pulled out. The effort is monumental—and it pays off.

When Obama is not on the ballot the Fraud Machine makes a genuine effort, but it just doesn’t have the juice. The biggest $ and the vast army of professional cheaters isn’t out in force. The effort falls short.

I would agree with you to a certain extent. The fraud machine is in part racially motivated. It doesn't work quite as well when the 'Rats have white candidates running.

Nor do the baseless fears the 'Rats try to instill in prospective black voters by tarring Republicans as the new segregationists.

As to election fraud and cheating in general, perhaps there was a little bit of legal pushback this year with a few more states requiring photo IDs and more Republican secretaries of state somewhat more aware of the problems and somewhat more willing to combat them.

>>>Yeh, what happened to their fraud machine this year?<<<

The good news is that Alaska isn’t Chicago or California.

I live in the Alaska Bush, in a small village. People out here take their voting seriously. I can easily see any of us looking at someone trying to manipulate the vote and telling them to back off slowly as the shotgun is loaded. That includes those villages where a lot of the Native people vote overwhelmingly Democrat.

The only way that fraud has been allowed to creep into the system has been from outside. Stevens looks like he was set up by the feds in his so-called fraud conviction, and even though he was sentenced a week before the election, Begich barely won. Then we found out that the fed case was corrupt and the sentence was overturned - too late for the election, though. Just google the case to see how rinky-dink and inconsequential it was all about.

We’re pretty serious about our liberty up here. I’d say the election is pretty fair and square. Glad to see Mark get the swift kick in the ass he deserves.

Republican candidate Dan Sullivan defeated Democratic incumbent Sen. Mark Begich in Alaska’s U.S. Senate race Wednesday.

Something tells me this is just a FoxNews "call," not an official result. Nor has Begich conceded nor has Sullivan claimed victory yet.

From what I understand, Alaska will not have all the votes counted officially until the day after Thanksgiving.

Speaking of the Alaska races and vote count, yesterday there was an article posted on FR with an accompanying photo of two elderly women in Alaska examining a paper ballot. The blurb under the photo said that the ballot was not recorded with an optical scanning device, so the two women were trying to detect if there were any stray marks on the ballot to explain why the scanner failed. Yes, it has to remind us of Florida 2000 and Minnesota 2006 - hanging chads, undervotes, overvotes, etc., etc.

Correction to my post # 43:

Should be "Minnesota 2008."

The GOP will need several more seats beyond the 8 or 9 just won, in order to counteract Meghan McCain’s loony collaborator dad and his bromance buds.

If Manchin (WVA) switches

then the Republican Party will have (another) backstabbing traitor in its midst. Don't believe the BS. Manchin belongs in the demonicrat party.

AP and NBC also called it for Sullivan. Begich hasn’t conceded, but disinterested people that have looked at the race have concluded that there aren’t enough votes remaining for Begich possibly to catch up.

Mark Begich still refuses to concede defeat, but the Associated Press declares Dan Sullivan the winner and Sullivan has given his victory speech.

As of the end of today, Sullivan still leads by around 7,900 votes.

AP doesn’t determine the winner. They still need to count the valid votes.

Nope. Begich will not concede.

What's confusing is why Alaska stopped counting and updating their online numbers? Or maybe that should be a concern? Would hate for them to count the extra 30,000 or so ballots in secret, and then toss some extra numbers onto the totals, suddenly giving Begich a 100 vote win.
