We know about Abraham and Eugene’s mission to get to Washington, D.C. to stop the zombie plague. Having a goal like that is something we haven’t really seen since season 1, since they were going to the CDC. It’s a sort of different show when you have the group on the move, isn’t it?
GALE ANNE HURD : We’ve been on the move before, obviously. There’ve constantly been seeking out a safe haven. And then the first season, even though it wasn’t in the comic book, they did go to the CDC, they were in Atlanta anyway, so that made a great deal of sense. But now with Eugene potentially holding the key to what the crisis is all about and potentially solving it, now they have goal that’s larger than themself, and even more ambitious.
GALE ANNE HURD : Obviously, we made Andrew J. Wast a recurring player this season. His role as Gareth is essentially the leader of Terminus, and to be bolted into that position when you’re as young as he is shows that not only is he a very adept survivor, but he’s someone that has engendered the trust of people much older than he is. So clearly he’s perceived as someone who can keep them safe, who can be tough, but also someone who is going to protect the interest of the original Terminus survivors. And that means that he may easily come into conflict with Rick, who’s reassumed the mantle of our group of survivors. As well as the rest of our original team, given that they’re all very adept at survival now, too, and they’re not going to put the needs and desires of another group in front of their own. So how they’ll coexist I’m sure is going to be the crux of the drama.

I gave up after the third season.
The show was just getting too predictable: (1) survivors on the run from the zombies, (2) find a new place where they think they might be safe, (3) the group has some internal conflict and a few episodes where little else happens (to keep the budget down), (4) turns out their fellow humans are as dangerous as the zombies, (5) the zombies attack again, a few of the crew die (to be replaced by “good” people from the new group) and (6) they hit the road again.
And damn if Carl is annoying.

I understand your frustration... the 'Lori Grimes' grimes character drove me crazy, because she was always sliding from this option to that one, but I just watched the first and second episodes again and remembered why I got interested in the first place. IMO this the most innovative program on TV right now...
Lori never knew where her kid was and as soon as daddy was MIA she started boinking daddy’s best friend.

We’re re-watching Season 4, and it hurts my heart to see Herschel. I could barely stomach the two Governor-centric episodes...wish I could go through the screen and kill him all over again.

Though I remember back at the end of March thinking how it would take an eternity to get here, yet here we are. Time seems to fly as you get older, and we had a fun Summer here.

I really DO NOT WANT TO KNOW what started the Zombie Apocalypse. That means TWD could go the same way as "Jericho" - tinfoil-hat conspiracies that hijack the show.
The draw of the series for me is how people in this situation cope with the predators, both the dead and the living. Season 1 with the CDC was perfect: they didn't get their answers as to why, they just learned the how, and concentrate on what to do next.
** Don't look now, but there's a walker coming at you, what do you do?
** "Well, it's all the fault of the evil corporations who put the walker food in the GMO's that were activated by the chemtrails -"
** THE WALKER IS COMING AT YOU, WHAT DO YOU DO NOW?
** "See that jerky movement, caused by interrupting his nervous system using radiation from the HAARP array - AAAAUGH!"

You know I think why Andrea bothered me so much was that she switched her liberal opinions around to justify her actions......But I think that was a weakness of the writers not to give explanation that Andrea could not justify liberal dogma to the real world she found herself in ....but I could be very wrong...
Hell, we here could have told them that was a waste of time.....They don't even have a plan for Ebola let alone a zombiepocalypse.....
As for Eugene, who does he think he's going to talk to in Washington? Obama?........Good luck finding which golf course he'll likely be on.

Just have them find a walkie talkie and stop using that plot device.
Point of order: He wasn't MIA, he was DEAD (as expected and anticipated from a gunshot wound and last known was unconscious in a hospital when all heck broke loose and the dead were all over that place. .and couldn't be rescued.
