Excellent job on the paper-cleanup!

I woke up early because DP was talking in his sleep, which is usually followed by punching and kicking. At least the coffee was ready, and the cats wanted out.

I’m headed to Busdaddy’s. I think he wants to go to the Mob Museum today. What fun!

I hope I don’t feel any worse...I’ve wanted to go there since it was decided the old Federal Building/Main Post Office was a suitable site.

Maybe I’ll see pics of Harry Reid!

I got a great laugh yesterday morning from my dog and a rat. Yes a rat at my neighbors cabin. Fredd found the cage with said rat in it and was trying to get it, We grabbed Fredd and put the cage in the warehouse so Fredd could not harass it anymore.

My neighbor had caught this rat in his live trap during the night. After breakfast my neighbor was going to give the rat a bath.

He tossed the cage with the rat in it in the creek and Fredd jumped in and was under water looking for that rat. He swam quite a ways upstream and downstream. It had to be cold because it was 40 degrees outside at the time.

Fredd didn’t want to come out of the water until he saw the cage with the dead rat, sadly the rat didn’t survive the ‘bath’ So now Fredd was trying to get the rat to move, he didn’t understand the dead part. It messed up his head for some time.

Heck I went back to my place and Fredd took off up the creek to the neighbors place to investigate. My neighbor said Fredd watched him put the rats body in a plastic bag and followed the neighbor back down to my place.

From what I am told rats give off a horrific smell to dogs and it makes them want to get them. I wish I had had a camera to film Fredd in the creek, heck kinda hope he has another rat, then I will film it.

Oh rat got a nice funeral...plastic bag and dumpster fit for a fine rat!

A fun adventure for Fredd, except for the dead part.

I didn't know Richard Keil was sick.

I asked the dentist to have my bridge made of stainless steel. He wouldn't do it. None of them want to do that. When you want something to last, you want it made of sturdy material.

I think Richard Keil may just not have been so young anymore. “Live and Let Die” was, when? 70s?

I’m not sure why you’re getting an opinion from a dentist. I wouldn’t want to cross a bridge made of anything but either stainless steel or wood.

Dangit ... Photobucket's site must be down. I uploaded three images -- you'll have to use your imagination here -- but they were of Kahlua brownies, a Mudslide and a group of Kahlua bottles, all of which were going to be passed around to save you from a fate worse than death.

Guess this will have to do for now: http://www.kahlua.com/us/cocktails/

"Plinths walk?"

A plinth is the lowest level of a base for a statue or other monument.

In the case of Easter Island, the big head guys walked to where they ended up, staring a lonely vigil out to sea. One may suppose they walked their little legs off.

So when Darks said the plinths were ready to migrate, I just put two and many together and ...

Anyway, with some fresh legs under them, the Easter Island guys should be able to finish their walkabout. Don't know where they might be headed, but I won't stand in their way of getting there!

"... give hope for brighter days coming and that is a Blessing."

Yep.

I didn't even know my vision was dimming. I had noticed that I wasn't getting a clear image, no matter how I tried to focus. So I had my eyes checked.

"Good News," the doctor said, "you don't need new glasses."

"You just need new eyes."

.

Fortunately, these days, one can buy bionic inserts, so that's what I did. And guess what?

I received brighter days! (Ask 'Face.)

.

And yes, it was a Blessing!

A-HA! Photobucket will not defeat me! If at first you don't succeed, figure out how to reprogram the computer (or something)!

I don't ever want to pass a stone when going to the bathroom, but especially those.

So I finally went back to my old single core ancient laptop that I rebrained with Linux. When last I fired it up I had successfully replaced Mint 13 with Mint 17 which is a long term support release. In the process of doing that I lost all the settings that I had in the old version figuring that I hadn’t extensively changed anything that I couldn’t resurrect.

Where I couldn’t get the earlier install to connect to my Windoze network or access the NAS drive, this managed to find both the public folders on the network and the attached storage. That was a surprise since the previous version could only tell me that there was a Windoze network that it couldn’t or wouldn’t let me into and I never went back to fuss with it.

Then I decided to configure my email in Thunderbird. It kept insisting that it wanted to help me by finding my settings for me. Except that it couldn’t. Well, it thought it had. It’s just that their settings didn’t work, and when I changed them to the right settings it showed me that I was ignorant by changing them back to what it thought they should be. Finally figured out that I needed to tell it to take a hike, checked the manual setup tab and entered the proper info. Don’t remember TBird being that obstinate on any of my Windoze machines, on them if I entered the proper stuff it remembered it.

Then I went into Firefox and resurrected my addons. Then got on FR where I discovered that it was displaying in Pacific time. And my weather addon insisted that I was in Manhattan since that is the only place to be, I guess.

So now I have those minor annoyances cleared up and it’s about time to turn things off for the nightmorning...

I hear tell that there has been an instance or three of solidified glowbull warmthing falling out West..

And plinths are stalking. Or walking. I forget which.
