A 51-year-old man decapitated himself in New York's Bronx borough by chaining his neck to a pole, getting into his car and stomping on the gas, police said on Tuesday.

Sue Grafton described one way to hang oneself in her book, “N is for Noose” . . . this guy comes up to a tree shaped like a Y due to its trunk splitting. So he gets a huge rock and places it in the gap, ties the other end to his neck and then pushes the rock off the other side. Death in about 2 minutes.
Then there was the Indian lass that shoved her neck into a Y crevice of a tree and stayed there forcing her self deeper into the Y until she died.
People are quite ingenious when they are candidates for the Darwin award.

You are probably right, but if a person is determined to kill himself he will find the means.
This one sure sounds particularly gruesome. I pity the policemen and medics that had to go to the scene.

We had a guy cut his own head off last year. I was wondering how he pulled it off. They called it a suicide, now I guess it's possible.

I guess it would have to be better than
