Yah! Like the 4 year old child ripped apart by a 130 pound pit bull!

“Police say the 2-year-old, 130-pound dog attacked DeRouen inside an apartment. When her mother, 27-year-old Megan Touchet fought the dog off her child, the dog attacked her, too. “

Happy times are here again! Makes up for the American killed on average every 9 days in the US (2014) by a pit bull, doesn’t it? Am I right? Just one pit bull does something decent it really makes up for all the limbs and faces ripped off, people killed. Yessiree! Now that a pit bull didn’t kill a child and it’s documented in the newspapers - you know, the ones that pit nutters always say mis-identify pit bulls - then let the shredding of human limbs and lives resume!

Personally I think this is absurd, unless he deliberately set out to use his dogs to kill someone.

I know it is popular to “blame the human” but while they may not be spotless, the fact remains animals are not machines and are autonomous. Ultimately what they do is up to them, NOT the human.

In this case I can certainly see some kind of charges and punishment, but to be accused of murder which itself potentially includes the death penalty (no snarking about how it is never used) absolutely absurd.

Soon no one will dare own an animal when they find they can be majorly marked by the state for the actions of same. Never mind the so-called “cruelty” accusations that have already gone beyond the pale in punishing owners for looking at the dog wrong, or yelling at it. Maybe that is what PETA really wants. To make us all give up pets as too much liability. Then they can be free!

Just more to celebrate:

Dog sitter and girlfriend mauled by pit bull mix because “The dog sitter told police he was attempting to take the dog out for a morning walk when he inadvertently startled it by reaching for the leash.” Just more to celebrate! Get the popcorn and post more pictures of the “cute” pit bulls that shred people without warning~!

Well, even experts misidentify dogs all the time, which is the main reason I am against BSL. They are not machines with exact replication and thus ID.

Another thing, I just cannot see any pit bull being anywhere close to 130. Not even fat. The dog looks too short to be beyond the proper range, so I guess it is not really a Pressa or Cane, but no way should a PB ever be that heavy. People need to stop assigning “huge” status to every vicious dog. Many are really only medium.

So sad for that family and poor little girl.

It is the breed, and even the most well-intentioned owner of a pit bull who claims otherwise is wrong. Too many stories of pit bulls turning on owners or their children.

It is impossible to reason with fanatics.
They are inherently irrational.

No dog needs to be trained to bite and fight.
Take your BS to the courtroom where you get paid to spew it.

How can you afford internet when *obviously*, you’re dressed in rags and live in a junk car under the overpass?
