Per the police chief's tweet, he invited "COPS" to Omaha "so rest of world could see professionalism and dedication of men & women in blue here."

"...so rest of world could see professionalism and dedication of men & women in blue here." In the fog of combat anything can happen.Friendly fire casualties occur even in the best trained armies.

They should be forced AT GUNPOINT to show that episode, uncut.
Ditto for the episode in Detroit where the cops shot a little girl through the neck.
Fair’s fair.

A staffer on the long-running television crime show Cops was shot and killed Tuesday night, reportedly by gun fire from local police, while videotaping an armed robbery in progress in Omaha, Nebraska, that also left the suspect dead What was being robbed - a pet store?

www.omaha.com:
The crew member has been identified as Bryce Dion.
In a statement, Langley Productions, which produces “Cops,” said: “We are deeply saddened and shocked by this tragedy and our main concern is helping his family in any way we can. Bryce Dion was a long term member of the Cops team and a very talented and dedicated person. We mourn his passing. An investigation is ongoing and we are cooperating with local authorities.”
The World-Herald has learned that at least 30 shots were fired at the Wendys near 43rd and Dodge Streets.
Officials said it appears the only shots fired came from police.
The robbery suspect apparently had an air gun, a type of BB gun that looks like an actual firearm. He apparently was a prison parolee from Kansas, law enforcement sources said.

The really important information is being left out. What color was the sound technician and what color is the cop who shot him?

This result is not professional, it is a sloppy mistake that resulted in them killing someone on their own side.

But at least those officers were able to safely go home to their families, and that’s all that matters. As for the taxpayers, pay up, or these very same cops will show up at your doorstep to collect their pay (taxes), and throw you out of your home if you don’t pay up, assuming they don’t just shoot you first, because they were afraid of a citizen, who threatened their financial well being. It’s pretty bad when the mafia is easier to deal with than the cops.
