Tonight for some strange reason ads began popping up in the upper right corner of the main index page. Anyone else experiencing this?
Get thee to an anti-virus solution. You have a problem.
I think he’s joking.....as in, if people don’t start kicking in to the freepathon, what else can Jim do?
Yes, you may.
“The ads go away when you become a paid member.”
You are so bad.
If the ads start mentioning Moose/Cheese then run for your life.
Disable your toolbars
We do not run ads. You must’ve picked up some commercial malware from a site that does.
That’s what I thought. It really ticks me off that some malware gets money for forcing ads on FR but you don’t get any money from it.
Seen any flying saucers lately?
paid member........ haa.
well I am and I don’t see the ads. Let’s hope all Freepers donate just a little. Please encourage all to do so.
simply - no ads. haa. you made my day!
Do a system restore and be done with it.
Naw.
LOL!!!
LOL
I see Redrum on my computer screen. You getting that one too?
I had this problem really bad a few months ago, and I called the technician from Hewlett Packard, and he walked me thru going into Safe Mode and resetting the computer back to a certain date, which was recent, and restored my computer without messing with my files. That is, if you have a PC. I have no idea how to fix a Mac. If you recently downloaded something from the web, that is probably where the problem started, and the resetting process will go back to the day preceding the day you downloaded it.
Just started tonight. I’ll try the malware remover first before I restore. Thanks.
I actually looked up Redrum, me thinks you pull my leg
I’m not getting any ads but for some reason my screen saver turned into a picture of Hillary Clinton. I went to eyebleach.com and I was able to fix it.
