What movie should have had a sequel?

Posted on 07/12/2014 8:29:26 PM PDT by MNDude

Most of the times, it is better off if the sequel to a movie was not made. There are probably a few movies that would have been nice to have one. Which movie(s) do you think should have had a sequel?

I am sad that the Narnia franchise doesn’t seem to be continuing. I understand why somewhat because the second and third weren’t great films, and Dawn Treader in particular was awful. But I still wanted it to continue.

I would have loved to have seen more Guy Ritchie gangster films after the trilogy of Lock Stock, Snatch, and Rocknrolla, but I guess there’s more money in Sherlock Holmes sequels.

I know they’re doing a reboot with Tom Hardy but I definitely wanted more Mad Max films by Miller and Gibson. I also thought Apocalypto was a great film and wish Mel hadn’t suicide bombed his career.

I am thankful however that the film of Philip Pullman’s The Golden Compass was such a gigantic bomb that the franchise is fully dead.

One movie that needs a sequel is “K-PAX” since the movie is based on a trilogy of books.

The second book is when Prot returns.

A much better version of Arrival. They did great on the first one with Charlie Sheen but really dropped the ball on the sequel, Arrival II. It was a nowhere near the original’s quality on every level.

There was a sequel planned, but the project fell through.

I would trade 100 Transformers, Batmans, Supermans, X-Men, Hellboys, Bournes, etc., for one more season of Firefly.

Speaking of series that needed more seasons: Young Justice.
