Sausage and mushroom............for me nothing else will do.

Yep, that.

Or plain cheese with ground hot chillie peppers.

But in both cases, the cheese has got to be good. And thick. And not just be in the midle, and leave the outer half a breaded wasteland.

Or pepperoni - sometimes.

But pepperoni needs to OVERLAP, dammit. They aren't supposed to be islands. And they still have to have some good cheese underneath them.

Green chili is a popular topping on pizza here in New Mexico.

Green Chile and pepperoni was one of our favorites at Village Pizza in Corrales.

My body is in the Chicago area.

My heart is in the mountains of Colorado (or Montana)(or Wyoming)

My first experience with NYC’s stupidity when it comes to gastronomy.

Busted! Manhattan clam chowder was actually created by New Englanders, they just called it that, as a form of insult.

My favorite cheeseburgers come with their own cardiac defibrillators.

Will this do?

“so you’re seeing arugula even on slices”

Do they use the light or the dark meat from the arugulas?

Had a place by me that made a GREAT pizza.

It was our favorite place in high school and early college. Then they sold out.

I think they are in Arizona now.

Anywho...my buddies and I would always order a pizza with bacon, onion and sausage.

Haven't found a place that can match it yet. (30 years)

The best pie I ever had was in Corinth, NY... legit Margherita pie with the colors of the flag... sauce, riccotta, fresh basil... Thin crust.

Here in western PA... the local pizza place is run by a guy from NYC... but the crust is still too poofy for my liking... that slice in that pifture Nails it... nonpoofy crust... cracker thin... love that.

yuk, I just had a stromboli Friday and noticed it had this crumbly sausage and it tasted OFF like it was old or spoiled. I tried picking it out of the stromboli but it crumbled into smaller pieces and I just lost my appetite. It’s going to be a while before I ever get the craving for a stromboli again.
