I am done. This site has broken me. I am as staunch a conservative as you will find. After returning from Iraq, injured and upset, I turned here and found a welcoming community that shared my thoughts. I am a proud Gadsden Flag waiving man of the Tea Party movement. But because I don't think Sarah Palin is as historically important as other GOP women in the past, I am now considered an idiot, a RINO, ass-kisser and whatever negative connotation you can throw my way. This site has changed so much since that dictator want to be became President it sickens me. It's lost its sense of community and has ran off many a good person. Heck even the Tea Party seems to be distorted here.
That is true, but...it takes a special skill set to run for office, including the desire to do so. Not everyone has that, and neither Michelle nor Laura do.

Yea but the difference is that no one here can name a single conservative thing Romney ever did whereas Palin has many. So it’s not a straight up comparison.

Beautiful women have a hard time being taken seriously, I’m afraid. And you can’t compare her to Malkin or Ingrahm, they are not polticians.

There are some truly nasty people that post on this site. It was fun in the 90s, but not so much now.
Thacher was never a playboy bunny but she sure has a ton of conservative fans that would vote for her to this day.

Don’t be thin skinned and go off in a huff! That’s how liberals act. We need people in the fight to stand up for conservative values and the Constitution. There will always be disagreements among like minded people, but this is not about our feelings. I don’t know of any other community where I can go and be among people who share my core values. FR has been a refuge for me as I live in liberal Maryland. Freepers have encouraged, informed, and inspired me, usually in an entertaining and humorous way.Take a break and come back refreshed!
I disagree with your opinion somewhat, but that doesn't mean I suddenly decide to look down upon you as a person nor your opinion as making you an undesirable member of this community.
Of course, there are many who will berate you and belittle you for your opinion, and you simply have to let it go. There's nothing wrong to sticking to your beliefs and there's also no point in arguing with people who have decided your opinion “taints” you.
Such an opinion as you have expressed does not warrant you believing you are now an outcast. Stick to your beliefs whether or not you leave or stay and roll with the criticism.
Did you ever think that there are Freepers who think you are one of the truly nasty people. Things are funny that way.
